IT moment is a moment you've had the best experience in what you've accomplished. To be honest, I have had several IT moments and I'm often proud of myself whenever my mind flashes back to all I have been able to accomplish over the years. Daily we are expected to grow and this is what makes life interesting at one point, when we realize our effort has been productive and there is visible evidence of hard work, commitment and persistence.
In my early school days, I happened to be a Dullard in mathematics. The fact that I wasn't the only one made it comforting, and I was more relaxed when I was sure I wasn't the worst. I was good in other subjects, but math seemed to be difficult when it was required of me to find an X and Y. I didn't know which magic the mathematics teacher always did to arrive at a convincing answer but I always believed the examples were more simple than the class work and assignments. However, I graduated from my primary and junior secondary having an A in mathematics, but deep within me, I knew I wasn't knowledgeable in math. If I close the book, I go off the lane.
This became evident when I transferred to a different school. I can't remember the number of zeros I scored, we knew what our scores were before it arrived, but the shocking part was that people still believed I was knowledgeable in the same mathematics I was recording zeros in. I knew I only needed some time and maybe, I'll get a grasp of the secret behind what mathematics is. I asked someone who was good in math to give me a few guides, he did and I took it upon myself to learn the other areas that I needed to upgrade on. So I absent myself from all classes and found an isolated place to study. I started my learning from the first page by following each guide gradually, Aureka! I discovered the secret after a week of thorough studies.
I wasn't sure what the result of my one week absence from class would be, but I believed my diligence and persistence to learn would pave the way for me. Gradually I started to understand the common basics in mathematics, it was then I realized mathematics was easier than other courses i have been doing very well with them.
After a week, I resumed class , no longer as the dullard in mathematics, but a transformed student who couldn't wait to show the world what he had become from the days of self grooming. It was our final exams, just like the previous times, no one believed another brilliant mathematic student would emerge, they knew our script and couldn't wait to laugh out loud each time the scripts were shared and our score mentioned. It was different in our final exams. The mathematics teacher held my script before the class and acquired who I was. I could hear chuckles behind me, they already guessed a zero, but probably a worse one this time, but they were shocked when our teacher said I got the highest. It was like a dream before the eyes of everyone. Just like a peacock, I felt my feathers flap out proudly and eversince mathematics had been a walk over subject for me
