Even if I am not a lawmaker I still know the rights of the citizens, I believe the citizens have the right to protest but why is Nigeria's own different, why is our government afraid of justice and threatening the citizens with all sorts of
The citizens have the right to protest against bad government, Nigeria things are awkward since we have a new president, people now experiencing an economic Crisis, we are now facing inflation every day, the poor can no longer feed themselves, and the price of 50kg of rice skyrocketed from #30,000 to #85,0000 why is this government after the lives of the citizens.
Some people are planning to protest against this bad government while some people gathered to protest against the protest, this is my first time hearing this in the country, we are the problem ourselves because everything that is happening in the country is affecting all of us no one is exempted even the richest business owner in the country Aliko Dangote has a taste of it.
I was listening to the news yesterday when I saw people protest to say no to protest, should I say the government had bribed some people to go against the protest, how much will he give them to shut them up, why is no one taking the side that this government is bad, or is this how we are going to experience hardship for 8years?
We are experiencing hardship and the only thing our president can do is to change his private jet and commission the vice president's lodge which is worth about #7 billion naira, leaving the economy unattended, citizens are lamenting and they all turn deaf ears to our crying.
We are not asking for good roads, hospitals, or any social infrastructure all we want is for the people to be able to feed themselves, what is the essence of having infrastructure without having a good life, all we demand is to bring back our subsidy, yes I said bring back our subsidy, we have been facing economy challenges since the removal of the subsidy.
I think the president should have come out and addressed the issue of protest rather than threatening the youth but no he did nothing of such, the only thing we are seeing is military personnel on the street, does that mean they are ready to kill the citizens as they did in 2020.
Does the president value the lives of the citizens? Why will he instruct the elders of Lagos to bring out one of the traditional acts that people do not see in the afternoon (Oro) the word Oro means fierceness, tempest, or provocation, Oro is a weird, vibrating voice of the deity as it moved around the community in deep darkness, pierced the stillness of the night, sending shivers down the spine of women confined to their homes. They only operated at night so that people would not see them but now the president has instructed them to be out on the street in daylight to instill fear in people.
Nigeria my country, things are getting worse day by day and we are been threatened over our rights, what is the way forward, or everyone should just manage with this regime and keep mute until his tenure is over, do we consider the poor?
Now the youths are on the street to demonstrate their concern about the hardship and to end bad governance, it is our right to voice out and let the nation be good again.
