This weeks prompt by the #hivenaija community took me back to memory lane when one of our Nigerian famous musician Peter of Psquare, gave a fan the opportunity to raid his closet for a specified amount of time, I think 2 or 5mins and pick whatever he or she likes. Again, the popular zoom raider where a raffle is drawn and the winner is given 5mins to raid a shopping of whatever he or she desires.
One time this happened, a lady really disappointed people as she did not make use of the opportunity very well and another time a guy, ran to the electronic section to pick variety of expensive electronics stuff (you might be saying one should not be greedy but a game is a game right?).
So just like the prompt states clearly
2️⃣If you won a five-minute shopping spree at any store, where would you choose?
What will I choose if given the chance?
Hmmm... With this present situation in the economy and with what bothers me alot, if I have an unlimited chance to pick anything, I would run over to the gadget and electronics section. Yeah, most of what I would pick would be used to benefit and enhance my growth in one way or another. For instance:
-A SMARTPHONE : I would gladly go for an A grade smartphone like Samsung or iPhone due to their quality and durability.
-** A HIGH GRADE POWERBANK**: It looks like every Nigerian needs this device whether you have 24 hour electric supply or not. Hence, I would pick either one or more power banks during the spree.
- AN SOLAR INVERTER: Yeah is a necessity at this point,considering the high tariffs in light consumption, this will come in handy
- A LAPTOP : As a writer and an active member of hive blockchain, a laptop is an integral and necessary gadget, as most activities are carried out using the a desktop. For instance, so duties on leofinance cannot be achieved with a phone unless you use a laptop.
- A SMART TV: one of the shop raiding spree I watched, the guy literally picked like 5 high end
LG smart tvs, you can imagine if he sold those tvs the amount of money he would make out of them. So I would pick a tv. - HOUSEHOLD EQUIPMENTS: IF there is still time, I would love to get kitchen gadgets that would make work easy and seamless for me. We all know that more products are available to ease stress in the kitchen for instance, food processor for poinded yam, master blenders for Grinding, microwave for heating up foods, pressure pots, non stick wares and so on.
In conclusion, although it is rare to get such opportunities but when such opportunities are given and its not limited, it's okay to grab the chance and utilize it. It's a once in a life time opportunity. Sometimes you might not even need the stuffs but you can resell them and make good profits😜.
