Okay!.... My people let me begin by wishing Everyone of us a prosperous happy new year, I'm particularly grateful to God for yet another begining Of a new year, I know we usually say this every new year breathing in fresh Air, feeling a new, rejuvenated and ready to spring run the new year with mind-blowing exciting new ambitions goals, new prospect, resolutions all ready to roll out, please what ever you do, be Intentional about this year like never before, just a piece of cake from me...
Right so about Christmas Day celebration that was something special, spectacular and a memory i wouldn't forget in a hurry.
We have a Christmas Tradition in which every year ending all the sons, daughters grand children relations, extended family members, cousins nephews all and sundry will converge in the large family home, and our family home is located in such a way that usually this times the entire community will be around our compound, cause our home is located near the community's primary school with an open field were community football end of year match always held.
But this year Ending we didn't go to the villa, we choose to stay in the city and also our big uncle Alex was around in his own apartment 5km Away from ours.
On Christmas Eve we have already began preparation ahead of the big day, there were two live chicken, I had to take care of that, all worked up and stock in the fridge which was almost filled with stuffs, mom went to the market that day bought things for fried-rice, salads and veggies.
On Christmas Day, while my siblings were in the kitchen, I too helped out in some ways before leaving for Christmas service, I got back while they were still cooking but was almost done, in less than 30minutes it was all set then we all ate, we spent some time together having fun, then in the evening we planned on going over to Uncle Alex's House for proper Christmas jollof😄👌.
On our arrival at our uncles house the strong flavour of assorted dish filled the entire space one could say there were hosting a ceremony of foods, 😂 and did I tell you my uncle is a chef, man most times is in the kitchen, really does not allows his wife cook for him, anytime we come he is most times found in the kitchen and so was today, from my calculation they have cooked about four different meals, we were then served rice n stew with fried chicken.
That wasn't All
The big one was coming, it was later I found out that my uncle had already prep some catfish and croaker fish for grilling, he also had a mini fish pond were he rare these catfish, there were all prepared wrapped in foil pepper and he also had a grilled stand, after we set up the fire he placed them on top and allow to roast.
Then I went inside helped the mama to slid cabbage, by the time I was through mixed up with salad cream she was frying French fries by this time the fish was ready and i saw uncle coming inside with them alas about three cat fishes and two croaker fishes in a big round tray took out just one and ask us to use the rest.
Spread the salad over the fish, with fries at the side then we added ketchup and chilli, all of us like one big family gathered around and ate, it was fun, exciting and feels great that had such a memorable Christmas time together.
