Children are very smart and intelligent especially during their formative young age, their receptive brain tank is empty, hungry to be filled, at this point they are sharp in observing everydetails of the things you do even tho they can't talk or learning to, they watching and learning faster than you think.
Most parent believe that by working so hard and providing for all the need of their household is the ultimate goal, giving their children the best life, so they can aim higher and be open to various opportunity.
The truth is some parents are not really proud of who they are and what they do, i feel the reason to this is that what they have hoped for, their life ambition and dreams was shattered at some point, maybe because of their poor upbringing environment and inability of their parent to be able to provide essential things for them in life, so they vowed to work so hard and make sure their own children never experience or come close to the kind of life that they have now....
And this is what most of us yet to be parent also have promised ourselves.to give our children the best possible life ever, so you see a scenerio were parent will send their children to boarding schools, so they stay far and not have a clue of how the money is made, however this is totally wrong and here's why.....
Teaching Children early enough on life how money is made, how money works helps them appreciate the value of money better, getting them involve in whatever they (parents) do is practically the best form of education in life, as a matter of fact teaching my children the basics of how money works is a core principle for my children, they will have to earn most times the money they get in the house, teaching them what i do, how i do, when and where it is done so they understand where and how the money comes.
I have particularly observed a particular tribe in Nigeria were every business is a family business, mother, father and the children, even when they return from school, immediately they off their uniform is business time, over time this builds a character in them to be hardworking, not to be lazy, makes them to be Foreward thinkers, goal setters, ambitious.
The right thing for parents is to engage their children in whatever it is that put food on the table, its a natural and best thing to do, because these kids will eventually become better at it, most companies today all started as a family business, some of them very old dated way back as in the 80's and 90's, what sustain the legacy of that business is because the parents back then involved the children in the process, and today generation after generation the business is still striving, we can say such of the coca cola company with thier own unique recipe.
There are thousands of reasons and benefit why parent ought to introduce their children into whatever nature of business that they do, i will highlight some key ones here.....
Ensures the legacy of the family business continues from Genetation after, also the continuity of the family business is guarantee
Helps The children understand and appreciates the value of money better
Makes them Smart, wise and confident about their self worth and value in the society
To improve upon the ideas of their parents, to expand and bring better ideas to spreading the reach of the business
Opens them up for more greater opportunities both in collaboration and opening up new ventures, because of the business ideas they have built over time.....
