If you notice, your mind works better when you’re well rested. Especially when it’s raining and there’s a heavy breeze blowing in the middle of the night. When you shut your eyes, you can easily hear the rain beats against the zinc. The weather is usually cold and your tucked in under a light wrapper or better still if you have a blanket you can pick that. It’s a perfect warmth against the cool weather, then you allow yourself slip into the dream fantasy world. There’s this joy that comes with such feeling that allows you enjoy your sleep and even influences your dreams.
At least you won’t be seeing a masquerade chasing you or maybe having those strange kinds were your head is bigger than your legs. At this point, you can agree with me that sometimes such healthy amount of sleep allows you get vivid dreams that might have been influenced by your subconscious. I had a friend who modeled his mentor who was a Professor back then in school. The Prof. was quite aloof and hardly interacted with students except during lectures. If there was an award for minding one’s business, he will win it over and over again. Sometimes I think my friend was just caught up in his mysterious air and mistaken curiosity for adoration. There were lots of rumors about this Professor, some saying he hardly ever slept because he was trying to increase his number of research papers. It was easy to believe him because of his visible eye bags at work and his great records of achievements within the school.
Since my friend wanted to achieve that feat, he started staying up late in the nights. Omo! I was annoyed because his torchlight was disturbing me at night when I was sleeping. Also, I didn’t see the point of night studying when we no get test or exams. It began telling on him, his grades began to get bad and he hardly paid attention to lectures. This went on for a year, until the Professor informed us of his leave. Apparently, he had insomnia and was taking a month off to find treatment. Half, the gossips going around about him was made up by students. When my friend learnt of this he got frustrated and now his battling with his sleep patterns. That’s why you suppose understand wetin you wan follow normally.
It’s one thing to sleep and another to do it properly. There are people who prefer the warmth of the bed all day. You’d even notice a depression forming on their favorite spot on the bed. It would sink in like a canoe, lacking paddles but just sifting on the surface of the water. If you like don’t get up and do something with your life. Until, you get a bad health condition from you being lazy. It’s important to strike a balance with your sleep. Stick to the recommended time for a healthy sleep, do not overshoot or reduce it unnecessarily.

Your mind is stressed at that point and your body hasn’t fully recovered from the days activities. Even your brain is trying to get a good rest and replenish its energy stores. When you’ve over exerted your body and still don’t want to get a good sleep, your mind will make you pay. The kind of dreams you’ll get, will make you regret such decisions. Imagine seeing yourself running mad in the dream, it can be a representation of how your mind feels from the lack of sleep. You will now carry yourself to your pastor for prayers not knowing it was because you received to sleep well.
In all try dey sleep well, it’s very essential for good health and perfect dreams. It’s a win-win situation for you. You’d be able to carry out the next days activities easily and without headache. Also, you’d enjoy your night with the best of dreams.
