The past two weeks have been hectic for me as a new entrepreneur. The whole experience kept exposing me to what I never knew before, and I'm loving the whole new knowledge. One thing about striving to get things right sometimes is that it comes with lots of stress but is definitely worth all the stress at the end of the day.
It's easy to cut corners, especially here in our country where corruption is the order of the day. Just a little bribe here and there and you will save yourself stress, but is that the right thing to do? Obviously a personal view and choices. Sometimes, people don't care if they are doing the right thing or not as long as they can still get what they want with money, but I feel that it's always better to strive to get things rightly when you can.
In a few days, we will be entering into another brand new year. Most people have been working in the background and gradually preparing for the coming year. I am not an exception, and this is the reason behind the hectic weeks I have been experiencing recently.
Getting into the production business takes a lot of protocols before obtaining approval by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). It's more sensitive when the product is something edible. If you are determined to get things right, then you must strictly follow every procedure before getting approval; however, some persons still find their ways of maneuvering things, but I have been out to follow every bit of NAFDAC specifications so I wouldn't have issues with them in the future.
I have been asking questions of other people I know who are into the same production business of my interest, and surprisingly, some of them advised that I cut off some steps via bribes so things can be faster, but I took the decision of doing things the right way no matter how stressful and lengthy the journey might be. I have been entering different offices responsible for this business, and the experience has been mind-blowing. Although it has been stressful and draining me financially due to the movement involved, I am happy with what I have been through observing so far.
So yesterday, I had NAFDAC visit my business place for a thorough inspection, and they were impressed with what I have done so far. At first I was tense receiving this set of government officials all alone. I expected my husband to travel home, but he couldn't make it due to his workload. However, I did my best playing my role as the manager of this business, and at last, phase one inspection was a huge success. Now I feel relieved š. I can travel for my yuletide celebration and enjoy the season peacefully knowing that I have achieved something amazing, getting ready for the coming year.
Currently on my way to my hometown, it's a long journey with my kids, and I hope to have a smooth trip. Wish me well, and do have an amazing holiday with your family as well.
