Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Every parent has their own style of parenting, and every parenting style has a way of influencing a child's behavior and their life. No parenting style is bad as long as it works towards helping the child stay on the right track and helps them have a sense of responsibility. It is easy to raise a child, but it is very difficult to raise a child right. Parenting is a journey one cannot decide to embark on overnight. You must be prepared for it; the tasks and responsibilities that come with parenting are not something anyone can do without prior preparation.

Many people rushed into parenthood before they were prepared for it, and they failed woefully at being parents. As a parent, a lot is expected of you. Parenthood requires you to make a lot of adjustments; everything about you changes the day you become a parent because you now have someone watching you, and you have to be a good role model to the one watching you. Your timing of coming back home changes, and how you react to situations changes. You become a totally different person just so you don't mislead the one following in your footsteps or emulating you.
Different styles of parenting exist, and our parents were not an exception. We all got to learn a thing or two from their parenting styles and are wishing to pass it on to our kids, and since nobody is perfect, there are certain parenting styles they practiced that we still don't want to pass on because of how they affected us.
My parents did their best to make sure we were raised right; they went all out to ensure we got everything we wanted and needed. I learned from them that a parent must make sacrifices, and I am adopting this to raise my kids too. Like I said earlier, parenting comes with a lot of responsibilities, and making sacrifices is one of them. Countless times I saw them make sacrifices that sometimes hurt them, like my mom giving up her nursing job to become a stay-at-home mom for her kids for months before she started her own business which gave her more time to spend with the kids compared to her job.
Parenting requires you to become selfless; everything you do, you do for your kids and not just for yourself, and they showed that to us, and it has helped shape my siblings and me into what we are today. Whatever we are today, we owe it to our parents.
My parents, especially my dad, were extremely strict; if not that he was my dad, I would have said he bullied us😂. It was all for our good but it was a bit extreme, always wanted us indoors and cut from the rest of the world and it kind of had it negative effect on us. Sometime I feel that Is where my fear of crowd started, being strict with kids will help keep them on track but being extremely strict might affect them negatively one way or another.
