What happens in the dreamworld can only transcend into the waking world, reality, by dreeming. And to accelerate the dreeming, a dedicated teem becomes the indispensable catalyst.
dreem (verb): the art of transforming mere dreams into genuine accomplishments)
I was taken aback by the idea of having a dreemteem, a special number of people that would help me realise my dreemspace. My dreemspace had felt like a solo mission to me, and to think of how someone would come to play a role in bringing it to fruition never occurred to me.
So there I was, sitting under the tree that I usually go to, pondering about it for a while. Considering the nature of my dreemspace being something that would suit myself alone with the way I have designed it—an oasis for work, creativity, and music—I wondered just where my dreemteem would come in. I got my answer eventually.
You know when you tell yourself that you would or wouldn't do something but eventually contradict yourself in the end, mostly because you are only accountable to yourself. Yeah, that's one of the reasons to have someone or people to share your goals and aspirations with—to help one stay in check. They have to be people that you trust.
In no particular order, I will introduce these members of my dreemteem. They'd be more like a council or a board of advisors. And my selection is tailored to somewhat align with my dreem tools that I need to make this space of mine a real thing.
A blueprint to define the parameters and set a roadmap to follow. Savings to ensure that the financial plan still stands. Resilience to see the plan through to the end. These are the tools amongst many that I consider important to realising my dream space.
Someone that I take to be really alike with me in many ways and that we share similar aspirations is Gifted. Other than a striking resemblance (for most people), we share many ideas, values, and passions.
I mean, if Gifted were to design his dreemspace, I can bet on marbles that it would be similar to mine. He'd know just what it means to me to achieve this space because he relates to it in many ways.
He's very down to earth, chill yet hardworking, keen on excellence, and has a large heart. And, also, he's a brother to me. He'd make a great teem member.
From afar and near, I have admired certain things about Tessa—certain attributes that many would attest to. I see her as a person who sees the best in people and does her best to help them get there.
With the interactions and projects we work on together, I see an excellent team player in her. There's her insightful perspective and a certain type of energy that she brings to the table.
Having her on my board of trustees in realising this dreemspace would mean having someone that would provide adequate moral support and that I could be accountable to, and I'd know that I have the right person for the job.
Working with ideas is going to be a regular thing, and one of the people that I do that with is Mhizsmiler. She's another person that I work with regularly. Her spirit of hard work and intelligence is going to be very inspiring on this journey of mine.
Yet another person to keep myself accountable with; I know that Merit would be so excellent with this. She's very consistent with what she does—that, I admire—and she's the kind to keep me in check and help me achieve. She's a goal-getter herself. Also, being the ahem* that she is, I may not need to worry about finances. Maybe.
With these three on my teem—,
, and
—bringing my dreemspace to fruition would not only be more achievable but also fulfilling because I would be doing it with impactful people in my life—people that care.
I present to you, dear reader, Jay's Dreemspace Board of Trustees. The indispensable catalyst.
