I am super excited to be a part of this week's prompt, . This week's topics are super interesting and I will be sharing my thoughts on the topic that says:
Would you prefer 1 million naira in cash or a day with Aliko Dangote?.
Last week I was asked by someone if I were to be given a superpower for an hour. What would it be?
My answer: Mind reading.
The person: Why?
My answer: I would want to know what goes on in the minds of great men like Jeff Bezos, Bishop David Oyedepo, Aliko Dangote, Warren Buffett, Femi Otedola, and the like. I want to know how their minds work, what they are thinking of, how they come up with great ideas, and how they resolve challenges and conflict.
The mind is a powerful tool; it can see beyond our eyes
While a lot of people would go for 1 million naira in cash, I would rather spend my day with Aliko Dangote. Sincerely speaking, even if I were given 10 million naira in cash now, It wouldn't solve my problems. Spending time with Aliko Dangote would provide me with numerous benefits, which include;
Proven advice: With over 46 years of hands-on business experience behind him, he has carved out a niche for himself and his brand in the business world. A man with a proven track record of relentless success, unflinching determination, dogged resolution, outstanding pedigree, etc., does not just have something to say, he should be listened to, and is definitely worth asking as many questions as your mind can think of. He has seen it all, the highs and lows, the booms and depressions, the successes and failures, the cold and the heat, the ups and the downs. He did not just survive them, he came through with an arsenal of experience that you would benefit from listening to.
Time compression - In his forty-six (46) years of business experience, he has made mistakes you can avoid, if only you listened to him speak about them. He has taken blind steps in faith that they would turn out well, and they actually did turn out well. Hee has done some of the things I would be afraid of doing, simply because of fear or uncertainty, yet he has learned through them that if only you can put your foot forward, you can't fail. He has lost business resources (capital, investment, personnel, assets, etc.) that made the future seem bleak, yet he was able to weather the storm and come out stronger than how he went into those situations. In his years of business experience, he has walked many lonely paths alone, not because he wanted to walk them alone, or did not like making friends, but because the very people he banked on, turned on him when he needed them the most. He has learned a lot that, if you only listen to him, ask questions, and learn from, you can replicate his ten-year results in less than two years.
Knowledge: I like to define knowledge as what you know that gives you an edge. We know that every organization, be it business, family, association, church, nation, etc., has some trade secrets (unique systems of advantage) that seem to always put them over any and every competitor. While he may not be able to tell you his business secrets (no serious businessman in active competition would divulge his trade secrets anyway), he could share some valuable, time-proven, fail-proof, trusted information that would form or become the nitty gritty of your business success. Men of his caliber, beyond their financial networth, have intellectual capital they can bless you with.
Mentorship - If you meet Aliko Dangote and all you leave with is just a picture of him and you, you were greatly cheated. What better business mentor could you ever ask for, than a man with over forty-six (46) years of business experience up his sleeve. Seek to have him mentor you, ask him to teach you the ropes himself, hold your hands and walk you through those difficult challenges you will eventually face.
Mentorship brings you timeless advantages; you take bold steps as though there were no consequences. You dare to take on what others fear to take on, as though it were all decided in your favor. Mentorship provides you with a system of advantage that ensures you do not fail. When a man like Dangote has your back, your back is had. You can face the world with the audacity of a cub facing an antelope with his father behind him.
Men are ladders
Network: Imagine with me for a second that you are to accompany Aliko Dangote to every function he is to attend, or he grants you access to his clique of friends, business partners, and associates, or he decides to introduce you to the day ones, who have always called the shots that brought in the big bucks. You sure know you are on your way to a life of financial rest. Remember, your network determines your networth. You cannot be in that circle of influence and make foolish business decisions. You cannot be in that circle of influence and not thrive and flourish. That network has embodied within it everything you need to succeed in your business endeavor.
Endorsement: Imagine what you could do with an endorsement from Aliko Dangote. Imagine how many banks would open their doors to you simply because he threw his weight around you. Imagine how many countries would throw their borders open to you just because a man identified himself with you and what you do. Imagine how much ease both you and your business would enjoy from this accreditation. Imagine what level of speed your business would reach just because a man chose to recommend you.
THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗
