I still remember this vibes that year ehh.
Finally we will experience the vibes in thr street of Abuja as the National Sports Commission has officially declared its ambition to bring the Formula 1 Grand Prix to Abuja, a move that could make Nigeria the first African nation to host the iconic race since 1993. 🇳🇬 This isn’t just about speed, it’s about putting Nigeria (The giant of Africa) on the global stage!
Imagine the vibrant streets of Abuja buzzing with international fans, the roar of F1 cars echoing through the capital, and a new circuit showcasing Nigeria’s potential. Led by Opus Racing Promotions, this bid, backed by PBAT President Bola Tinubu’s vision, aims to transform Abuja into a motorsport hub with a karting track, hotels, and a museum.
Hosting F1 will inject billions of Naira into Nigeria’s economy, boosting tourism, creating jobs, and showcasing our rich culture from our lovely Afrobeats to Nollywood.
It’s a chance to inspire youth (especially lovers of cars), elevate infrastructure, and position Nigeria as Africa’s motorsport trailblazer. With F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali invited to Abuja, the dream is closer than ever. Lewis Hamilton, a vocal advocate for F1’s return to Africa, could see his call answered!
Let’s rally behind this vision to make Nigeria the heartbeat of African motorsport. What do you think about this??
