A PLEDGE TO NIGERIA MY COUNTRY π³π¬β€οΈ
I noticed something very awkward recently on how the citizens of various countries act towards their ecosystem, it is very unfortunate to see how the citizens of different countries look back at their own country but look forward to the life in other countries.
Well, it could be that the government of their country did not put things in place that should have ensured the well being of it's citizens thus, making the citizens to prefer living their lives abroad and outside their own country.
This is a very common problem in almost every country of the world except maybe for the already well developed countries where their citizens are having a more comfortable life.
In my country also, it only a few teenagers and citizens who thinks positively towards the country, most of them just have an intention of leaving the country for good while a few wants to just make money else where and return home time to time and some would rather become citizens of some other countries and abandon their own country.
This was a statement from a young man and a bachelor degree holder when i asked him "what he was going to do if he is given an opportunity to leave the country for a while" and he said to me "i will not return"
Those words touched me even though i was expecting quite that response from him because definitely things aren't going too well for him and many others in the country but what if the life in your country is currently even better than the life in some other countries including your dream country"
This was my question and response to him as i tried to make him understand how other countries may be so difficult than your own country and why you shouldn't run away from your country.
Nigeria is a great country and any difficulties or challenges i see myself in the country, i take them as illusions either due to a bad government.
I do not see any reason why i or we should run away from our fathers land because of an unpleasant ruler. Imagine running out of your own house which you have labourd for just because of someone who is intimidating your peace and fair living?, It would be a taboo.
If my country is falling apart, we as the citizens have every single right to put things back in place. The masses are the actual voice of a country not the government. The government only has power over the masses but 100,000 people is stronger than 100 what do i mean?, we the masses are far stronger than the government because the citizens and the masses are of a greater count in numbers.
When the country seems to be falling apart, you make your voice heard, know your rights and know how to use them. It is your country, it is our land, we don't fly abroad to abandon what is ours.
Let us stand up to build a nigeria of our dreams, a country where peace and unity abound therefore, i pledge to nigeria my countryπ³π¬β₯οΈ.
