Hello Hive,it's been a whole while here and I missed everyone in this space. I've been quite busy preparing, reading and writing exams in the past few weeks,so far so good it's been stressful, demanding,draining......in fact I don't know what word to quantify it again.
You know writing exams has not been easy and examination periods are times that students dread the most, you know having to read, understand and assimilate what the teacher has taught for a whole 3 months if not more and you as a student getting to have everything in your brain in a couple of hours, you guess so how stressful it would be.
So my journey into preparing and writing the first part of my final exams is not so easy, imagine having to work on your project and also reading for exams, late into the night.
The exam timetable came out a month before the commencement of the exams,so I already started to prepare and read, even before the timetable was out so that it won't become to much or too bulky for me to read, the day preceding my first paper,I had to read overnight because I can read anytime of the day but I assimilate better at night,so I had snacks to keep me going. My exam was by 12pm and I rested for 2hrs and revised everything over again, then I got prepared to go to school.
I got to the exam hopeful and confidence that I would definitely ace the exam,as luck would have it,I answered every question confidently knowing and seeing all that I read came out in the exam.
I went back to my hostel to rest and get prepared for the next paper,my next exam for the next day. The exam was more of writing every events that happened in a health field trip we went to as a class. Before the semester ended,an health field trip was organised by a lecturer of one of my courses to a village in Kwara State,Laduba community which was located at Asa Local Government Area to advocate and enlighten them about the importance of good and safe drinking water and also the meaning, symptoms, types and treatment of Cholera, Dysentery and Typhoid and also how it can be prevented. It was really an eventful outing because the community learnt a lot and were able to put them to use. Like I said in my introduction Post that i am an health educator and advocate, the course that took us out for the field trip was Health Communication, the course talks about what communication means, the medium and channels of communication, the objectives of communication and how you as an health communicator can convey your messages in a meaningful and understanding way with your tone having sympathy, empathy and trying to view yourself being in the shoes of those you're talking to. I learnt a whole lot in the course and it has really been helpful too.
Back to the day of the exam, getting to the exam hall and seeing the first question which was compulsory that we should explain and narrate every of the event that happened in the field trip without leaving anything out,I wrote out everything that happened without omitting any detail,it got to an extent that my hands started aching me,but I made sure I finished all the questions, getting home I had to use pain reliefs tablets so I could be fine. The next day being a weekend,I rested before preparing for the next paper and to really tell you that my exams was really amazing and also fun.
So now I'm done with my exams and all thanks to for the encouragement,it really went a long way. So I see you my fellow hivers. Peace out.
