Hello everyone, Hope you are doing well and that your day went very well too.
Gratitude is an age-old act, used to show how thankful a person is. It is a way of showing that you appreciate what was done for you. Gratitude is something very simple, but at times it is always very hard to do. For me, gratitude should be done from the heart, as it is a feeling, and to show it in real life, one must do it from the heart.
There are so many reasons people should show gratitude for what other people have done for them, and these reasons are:
For Next Time: People should learn how to show appreciation for what they get from other people so that next the other person will be able to do more. There are times that thank you is always very hard, maybe because they expected more from the other person. Anything you get from a person should be appreciated because you may not know how that thing was gotten. It is always very important to know that no one owes you, so the little thing they do for you should be appreciated.
For the Sense of Love: There are times people give the next person what they can afford, out of the heart of love, and the recipient makes it look as if they should not have given them at all. You would just hear a person saying, "I'm worth more than this," making it look as if it was actually forced on them. Anything that is done out of love should be appreciated so that other people can feel loved. I know of a relative who does not get gifts from people who do not have much because they feel that they are worth more than those gifts; I mean, they would just give the gift out in front of you.
Trust: Another reason you should appreciate it is because showing how thankful you are builds trust in the heart of the person who gave you the gift, and one of the ways to do this is to make sure that you keep those gifts very well and preserve them too. If you are given something very expensive or even not expensive, you should do well to keep it very well so that the giver will be encouraged and trust you enough to give you something better next time. There are people who feel discouraged because those things they gave out were not kept well.
You need to know that showing gratitude is not just by saying thank you, but it also involves making the giver trust you enough to give next time. Just like God, who would not want to waste his resources, he would not give you something that you will not be able to take care of or even give you anything when you were not able to keep the old things he gave very safe. It is very important to learn how to manage what we are given to encourage people to do; I feel that is a big way of saying thank you to people.
