It's so sad how a police officer ended the life of an innocent child yesterday on his way to school for his exam. This isn't the first time police have shot innocent Nigerians. Sometimes I wonder if the Nigeria police only train animals in uniform because how on earth can you shoot at civilians just because he passed through the wrong way due to rushing to school for his son exam? They'll likely say he was driving recklessly and shift blame, which is what they always do.Even if they are driving on the wrong way, must you shoot at civilians? What right do they have to shoot?
The people that are meant to protect us are the people ending people's lives. That's why I'm always scared whenever I meet them on the road. I will always beg the driver to be patient with them because if you argue with them, that's where the problem comes. You can argue, but sometimes it's better to keep quiet.
I pray the Lord comforts the family of this innocent child. How will the mother react to this sad news? A child who leaves home in the morning and is brought back home dead. I was shaking while watching the video. Thank God that man isn't God because vengeance would be served immediately.
That's why I always tell people to leave police alone when claiming rights or arguing with them. If you argue or claim rights, they can shoot and kill, and only the living can claim rights. In Nigeria, I don't think there's any real right because they can take your right away.
Sometimes I just weep for my dear country; everything is just wrong. Many people in the police join not because of passion for their job or protecting lives, but because they can't find other employment. They're there for the salary, and that's why you'll see them collecting bribes on the road. When people refuse, they end their lives. Such wicked souls!
That's why I don't blame people for leaving the country. Police brutality is overwhelming in my dear country. When will it end? Only when true justice is served. Though no amount of justice will bring the dead back, but it can prevent such incidents from happening again. Sadly, there's no true justice in this country.
I remember last year when a lawyer was killed in her husband's car, and we still don't know how the case ended. My prayers go to the boy's family and every family the police have brutally ended their life. May Nigeria's situation not happen to any of us.
As we mourn the loss of this innocent life, let us also demand change. May the family find strength in their grief, and may their child's memory inspire a movement towards justice and accountability in our nation. It's time for us to come together, to raise our voices, and to ensure that no other family has to endure the pain and suffering that this family is going through. May the soul of the innocent child rest in peace, and may their legacy be one of courage, resilience, and the pursuit of justice for all.
Amen😢🙏
