Hmmm. Like seriously, I really love this prompt , because I have something to say about it.
It was some years ago when my wife and I were still dating , we were boyfriend and girlfriend then , we were so much in love with each other just like the Romeo and Juliet thing.
Though we never had it in mind to quickly go into marriage settings , we were very busy trying to build ourselves so that we won't be a burden to each other. That is if possible we are going to be together.our courtship kept getting stronger and stronger.
I love her so much that time even till now but I never wanted to make anyone suffer or be the cause of anyone's sufferings.we had an agreement that she would have to work so that things can go faster since we intend to be with each other, by that time I was still working in a company at Ikeja , Lagos., but my girlfriend wasn't working, I have to look for a job for her and luckily I got one for her which was very close to my place of work. She started working and we were happy together.
The nature of her job warrants her to be doing the morning shift and night shift and that is why anytime she is on morning duty , we always go home together and sometimes she passes a night with me in my place .Things kept on going the way it is supposed to be and we were having our fun..
Something happened one faithful day , she called me and said she doesn't know how her body is doing her that she was feeling strange, not like the way she used to.I said to her that she please calm down and that all shall be well. When I came back from work I met with her and we decided to go for a check up. What came out as a result was amazing and at the same time scary for me because I wasn't earning much during that period.we found out that she was pregnant, to be very serious we were both happy and scared at the same time .then she asked me if we are going to keep the baby and I said yes because I want to be her husband for life , I told her that no matter what comes our ways we would faced it .that was how the journey to marriage started.
We made moves towards marriage and God crowned our efforts. Now when I look at the baby boy of that time that is now almost a 6years old , he is always filled with joy 😊, a very funny boy.
I am happy we did not abort the baby.
