Hello Hive
Good day, family. How are we doing today? Trust we are having a blast. Welcome to my blog.
Today, I want to share how the power of networking helped my young business brand secure its second fair in just two weeks.
As I mentioned recently, I shared here about counting my business’s losses after my first official outdoor event. @wewarriors-28/counting-my-losses-cues-from
Although my sales didn’t meet expectations, that event opened my eyes to something even more critical.
I met people, connected with other vendors, and learnt that events like these aren’t just about sales. They are also about promoting your brand and building meaningful networks.
Barely two weeks after that experience, I got a call from some of the vendors I met at the event. They told me about an upcoming fair and invited me to collaborate with them. Being new in the terrain, I was excited and grateful that they thought of me.
We agreed to pool resources and take a stand together at the fair. But something one of the more established vendors said really shocked me. She mentioned that when she attends events like these, sales are not her first expectation. I couldn’t believe it. How can sales not be the priority?
However, after she explained that these events are opportunities to build valuable contacts, gain visibility, and form long-term relationships, everything fell into place. It is truly beyond the immediate profits.
Now, after five days at this fair, I can confidently say she was right. I’ve learnt about major upcoming fairs for next year, met owners of older brands who shared business wisdom, and received tips that will help me grow. The value I’ve gained goes far deeper than sales; it’s a mindset shift.
I’m glad I took the bold step. And I’m even more proud to say my young business brand has a bright future ahead.
Cheers to more collaborations and growth
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Stay blessed.
