Sorry to say I highly disagree about what you said about fake news, if you look at the evidence and the evidence is amounting too higher levels then mountain Everest now. It turned out before we had the internet that most news channels we thought were good sources of information were 100% bias and 99% selective/fake news as those major news channels turned out to be owned by the same people.
Don't feel bad for believing into the nonsense, the corruption was there long before we were even born, we all have done this, but when the facts never add up, you should start to wonder, "what is going on?"
If you look at the ratio between real news and fake news, Facebook is a way better source of information then the television set and newspaper, but you have to triple and quadruple check the information. I find Google, humanity largest current database of information and in the history of mankind a lot better though.
Also it's essential that these companies must be protected from US government pressure.
Before Facebook and Google we were mainly left in the dark about how the real world works. Agree with the rest though, only the official news is the deception.
