It has been reported that a final student of Katsina Federal College of Education in Nigeria was killed and set ablaze by bandits on his way returning from a Sallah celebration with his friends along the Kwarare Katsina-Jibia road.
My Nigeria reported that the incident occurred when the final year student of Katsina State Federal College of Education known as Anas Adamu and his friends was on their way coming back from a Sallah celebration on Monday 11, 2022. The report states that he was attacked with some other vehicles along the Kwarare Katsina-Jibia road but was killed and set ablaze while others were abducted by the bandits who attacked their vehicle.
The killing of the final year student Anas Adamu by bandits is one of the saddest news ever heard in the history of the Sallah celebration in Nigeria according to a statistical report on the Sallah celebration. This has also made a lot of Nigerian students across the country condemn the act by bandits and ask the Federal government of Nigeria should please help and call off the ongoing ASUU strike to enable them to go back to school in peace and avoid another dangerous incident that may want to befall students across the country.

NaijaTweet reported that an eyewitness known as Muhammad Aliyu and a friend to the victim killed by bandits narrated how the incident happened stating that the bandit blocked the Kwarare road with firewood around 8:30pm on Monday but unfortunately three private vehicles ran into the lane of the bandits mistakenly. Aliyu also stated that his own vehicle was able to escape the bandits because they were in front and the moment their driver sighted the firewood used to block the road by bandits, he lost control and entered the bush but was able to enter back the road through another side.
Aliyu the eyewitness also said that for the second and third vehicles his friend that was killed was among ran into the bandits and was attacked. He said that the bandits killed his friend and set him ablaze because he wanted to escape while they abducted two other occupants and he doesn’t know where they are now.
