Today is Monday 10 October 2022, and the 8th month of Russia's invasion of Ukraine which took effect on 24 February 2022, Russia has launched a new attack on the Ukrainian capital territory Kyiv killing a good number of civilians and property destructions after President Putin of Russia claimed that the attack is in retaliation to the Ukraine bridge bombing in Russia and that any other further attempt by the Ukrainian forces to be a threat to Russia will amount to a tougher strike by using all form of weapons to defend Russia. Meanwhile, since the invasion of Russia into Ukraine caused a war, thousands of civilians have lost their lives and a good number of properties have also been destroyed in Ukraine.
The Oregonlive reported that Russia strike some parts of the Ukraine capital with more than 3 missiles in the early hour of today Monday which killed more than 11 people who are mostly civilians, injuring more than 64 people, and property destructions. It’s believed according to the Oregonlive report that Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrated the recent missile attack on Ukraine through his statement that it was in retaliation to what Ukraine did to Russia illegally by bombing its bridges. Meanwhile, the Russian government has already claimed that last week's Ukraine Bridge bombing in Russia is a terrorist attack and has vowed to use all means to protect Russia.
Ukrinform reported that it was about 14 civilians that were killed while about 97 people wounded seriously in the Ukrainian capital from the Russia missiles strike. Through the report, Denys Monastyrskyi who is the current Ukraine International Affairs Minister stated that about 14 civilians have been confirmed dead while 97 were injured seriously from about 74 total missile strikes by Russia in 12 Ukraine regions. Monastyrskyi also stated that the Russian missile strike in the Ukrainian capital also affected the energy sector and other properties.
From the time of filing this report, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned Russia's recent Monday attack in Ukraine that has killed a number of civilians and damaged properties. In his statement, he said that Russia is just looking for the most valuable assets in Ukraine to destroy.
Meanwhile, the recent attack by the Russian forces in the early hour of today Monday in Ukraine after months of calmness has put the whole world, especially NATO into a panic over what could be Russia's next plan of action towards Ukraine as the Russian president has already vowed to protect Russia by all means even if it involves nuclear weapon use.
