About 7 people have been confirmed dead in Northern Togo after an explosion rock down the Tone prefecture close to the border of Burkina-Faso. The incident is said to have occurred in the middle where the Sahel Jihadists are seriously laying threatening insurgencies to spill across the coastal West African nations.
The Guardian reported that Togo’s Army has confirmed the explosion by the Jihadists that led to the death of 7 people in Margba village in Tone. The Togo Army also stated that the Sahel Jihadist has been a very serious threat to the people for a long time now but for the explosion, the Army is on its watch to determine the key factor that led to the explosion which took away the life of 7 people in the country. The Army in their continuous statement made it clear that they have not confirmed the explosion as an attack until they are done with their thorough professional investigation.
African News reported that the government of Togo deployed a good number of security operatives as the state of security emergency after eight Togolese was killed in the northern town in May close to the Burkina-Faso border as was claimed by the Mali-based Al-Qaeda militants.
In a statement, some of the Togo Army has lamented that the level of insecurity in the country as a Sahel Jihadist threat pushing from Mali, Burkina-Faso, and Niger is becoming worrisome and something urgent must be done before it may get out of hand as more troops are to be deployed immediately to the northern side of the country.

Meanwhile, after the explosion that killed about 7 people in northern Togo has been confirmed by the Togolese Army, President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé of Togo has urged its citizens to be watchful of any dangerous movement in the country as he plead with more on all the security operatives in the country to do their job well by ensuring that lives and properties in the country are protected.
