According to the formal speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly Hon. Ike C. Ibe. A time Governorship aspirant for Imo State in 2015 but lost in the primary election to Hon. Emeka Ihedioha under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
Barr. Ike C. Ibe believed that it is time for the Igbo Ethnic group to produce the president of Nigeria and that's why he has come out to contest for the presidential race come 2023.
The Igbo are among the top leading ethnic group in Nigeria but the major problem which troubles the Igbos is that they have never produced a president of Nigeria in history while another top ethnic group in Nigeria like the Hausas and Yorubas has been producing.
I wonder why the Igbos will not be allowed to become the president of Nigeria by 2023 through zoning which I think will be in favor of everyone because according to Hon. Ike C. Ibe, it will restore peace within the country and why are we not given the opportunity to produce this president in 2023. He noted that he's among the capable hand of the Igbos for 2023.
The PDP presidential aspirant for 2023, Hon. Ike C. Ibe noted that the PDP should try and zone its presidential ticket to the southeastern part of Nigeria as it will be part of the evidence that can heal the country from its present situation of Unemployment, Insecurity, corruption, and many others.
He also noted that Nigeria could be better in the hands of the Igbos because we are able and capable to create new ideas in business and in all ramifications of life.
Barr. Ike C. Ibe also noted that the Peoples Democratic Party PDP will stand a chance of winning the 2023 president-general election if only they could consider zoning the ticket to the Igbos. He said "I am not just contesting for my own interest for the 2023 presidency but for the interest of the people.
According to the conference on Tuesday in Imo State capital Owerri, Hon. Ike C. Ibe said that Nigeria has been a failure because of its improper management of the country's affairs and must be called to order if given the opportunity of presidency.
Nigeria will need to find ways and restructure basic amenities which has been forgotten a long time ago because it will take this country far and make it better.
According to him, he also noted that if basic amenities and infrastructure are properly handled by the present government that the level of security in the land will not be that much.
Every Nigerian youth hope is on who will be the next president of the country in order to come for their aid by 2023 and will need to prove to them by giving our best for them by 2023 Barr. Ike C. Ibe also noted.
We're one Nigeria and we reserve the right to produce the next president of Nigeria by 2023.
