In short: just a few days ago the CDC released new guidelines basically reflecting what many people from the independent media community as well as from the right have been saying for months if not years: that COVID is here to stay, that asymptomatic transmission is really not a concern, that vaccines offer little protection if any and thus the unvaccinated and vaccinated people must be treated the same way, that we need to protect the vulnerable, sequester those with noticeable symptoms and otherwise not worry about it. Of course, just a few months ago you risked being called a "conspiracy theorist", sanctioned at work, booted off social media for saying that - but now that is all reasonable, because the CDC has stated that.
Meanwhile, people on the left who for months were telling you to trust the CDC blindly are now outraged and are busy condemning it. This hilarity is, certainly, delicious.
Now let us push to have those at the CDC and elsewhere properly investigated, questioned and made to answer all the reasonable questions along the lines of "what did you know? when did you know it? what influenced your activities and recommendations and orders? etc." But there's nothing wrong with taking the time to laugh at the mental gymnastics the ignorant totalitarian collectivists now find themselves going through to somehow make sense of the "1984"-type reality they themselves had done so much to create.
