Things have gone off the rails.
Things are not like they were before.
This is neither a bear market, nor a bull market, this is a vulture market.
This is ending of the old and beginning of the new.
Housing market
I have a guy i like to watch on ThemTube, known as The Economic Ninja (The Realestate Ninja) and i love all of his information, except he is trying to set people to buy up realestate at the bottom (like he did before/after 2008).
Their will be no bottom to this market. The suburban housing market will be desirable only to people who cannot afford to leave.
Just the baby boomer generation leaving the houses will put such a glut on the market that prices will have dropped in half. But we also have the deaths from Covaids increasing. We also have a huge swath of people who have not been paying their mortgage since the lockdowns, and foreclosures are about to begin. And to add a cherry to this sunday, we have the Fed raising interest rates.
I expect at least ½ of suburban houses to be left empty soon.
Anyone smart will be moving to a rural homestead.
And if this wasn't bad enough, looting and food riots will be common in cities.
Suburban real estate will only be valuable for the materials in it that can be used to build homesteads.
Money in the bank
The bank failures have not ceased, have not slowed down. It is not contained.
All the banks are going to fail or be bought up until only the 6 biggest are all that is left.
TPTshouldn'tB are probably planning to convert all the dollars into FedNow (CBDCs), but if not, expect to take at least a haircut on your money.
At some point they will tell everyone that FDIC doesn't have any money to cover the losses, and so you lose all your money.
or
they will tell everyone that FDIC doesn't have enough money, but we solved this. We will give you new FedNow dollars, and all you have to do is KYC with the Fed to get your new "free" account.
Cash under your mattress may be the safest thing... if you can get it out of the bank.
Social Insecurity
Social Insecurity will continue to pay out monthly checks, but they may only buy a loaf of bread.
The shenanigans that will go on in this area will be monumental.
All of the retirement funds are woefully underfunded.
And the govern-cement may be confiscating what money is left.
But don't worry, they will give FedNow money... or something.
Maybe you can rely on your stock in the stock market ...
The stock market
If it was just the baby boomers pulling their money out of the stock market, it would make a huge correction.
But that will be small potatoes of what is going to happen.
The stocks in the stock market are way oversold. My guess is at least 2x. There exists two shares supposedly owned, for every share that actually exists. It could be 5x. And this will be found out, and then the stock markets will be closed until they can figure out who owns what.
After they solve that with the block chain, they will face the next huge move. The distrusting of corporations and the moving away from them to locally produced stuff.
The entire idea of a corporation, externalizing costs and internalizing profits, will become widely known and will stop these things from existing. Pollution will be closely scrutinized, and the big corps will lose their entire market share.
Within 50 years, the multinational corporations will cease to exist. (but, between now and then, they may take over the world, displacing govern-cements)
Car Sales
Have you heard that car dealerships are now hiding inventory?
There is such a glut of cars now that manufacturing is coming back online, and the huge number of repos, AND MORE COMING, the automobile sales industry is dying.
They cannot finance cars, they cannot sell cars unless they lower the price. If they lower the price they cannot pay off their loan...
Auctions lots are filling up with bank owned cars.
People cannot afford the extreme high prices of new cars with today's higher interest rates.
Add in really high fuel prices and... cars dealerships are toast.
Soon you will have a hard time getting rid of your vehicle. Nobody will be able to buy.
If you have one sitting around, sell it now. (and put the cash under your mattress)
The future
Things will not go back to normal.
It will be like ICE cars now, before the greatest depression, and then floating, magnetic motor powered flying cars after.
There is nothing in our past to compare this crash/recovery/evolution to.
The old stores of value will be out.
New means of wealth exchange will be in.
Bitcoin is just the beginning.
Gold will be out, Silver will be in.
Single family suburban houses will be out, large, multi-family homesteads will be in.
Giant corporations will be out, small interconnected manufacturing systems will be in.
Grocery stores will be out, small community food exchanges will be in.
Basically, everything that has a really high price right now (bitcoin is dirt cheap) will just cease to exist. Their value just disappearing. The societal standards they were built upon, just crumbling to dust, like the Twin Towers.
This is a lot of upset. So, be prepared for a lot of people losing their shit (in all the ways you can read that)
Prepare to keep yourself safe, and on the other side, a much better world is coming.
