Hello InformationWar platform! It's another time to share with you news around the world and this time it's about mass shootings across the United States and how the number is increasing on a daily basis if nothing is done it's likely to increase before the end of the month.
It's been a very awful month for those who have lost one loved one or the other through the sporadic shootings that has taken place within this January 2023. Many kids have been killed and many are receiving treatments in hospitals across the United States. This to me isn't a good news for the US with it's international status.
In the latest incident on Monday, seven people were killed and one critically injured in two related shootings at agricultural facilities in a coastal community in northern California.
The Gun Violence Archive (GVA) has defined mass shooting as any spontaneous shooting that affects four people and above and the incidents across the United States is actually mass shooting.
The lastest shooting came less than 48 hours after a gunman killed 11 people at a Lunar New Year celebration near Los Angeles, California, on Saturday night.
Prior to this year's mass shootings, it has been a subject of debate on banning assault weapons in the United States, although many have fought against the ban of these weapons but the resultant effects of this has been the untimely death of innocent American citizens who were shot by gunmen.

As at 23 January, 2023, a total number of 62 people were killed and 155 people were injured. This a large number of people that were killed in mass shootings and the people undergoing treatment above 150.
It's high time the United States government concentrate on protecting her citizens rather than protecting the guns in the possession of citizens who can shot anybody at will.
The truth is that, many people are undergoing through stress and depression and could do anything they like with their weapons whether it's good or bad and sometimes the shooter kills himself and the lives of innocent American citizens wasted.
I join other Americans who are soliciting for the ban of small arms to plead with the government to stop the use of arms in public places. And also condone with the families that lost one or two loved ones.
