Well there is a lot of reporting about how the Senate Parliamentarian "blocked" the addition of granting amnesty to DACA and other illegal immigrants to the United States. Twitter and other places have the Leftists spouting their outrage as expected and also saying the typical 100% emotion with no logic statements. There are also those stating that the Parliamentarian is just an advisor and it can be ignored and rammed through anyway. We even have Ilhan Omar herself (aka racist, Democratic Congresswoman, married her brother so he could become a U.S. Citizen, often pushing for illegal actions, etc.) tweeted more or less the same. Then some pointed out the Vice President vote can override it. If the shoe was on the other foot and it was the Republicans that were blocked you can pretty much guarantee every single one of these fools, and corrupt people would be stating exactly the opposite.
Rules for thee, but not for me...
Now one of the tweets that was typical emotional fodder that I saw was someone stating how they didn't care about the "11 million poor". What this fool doesn't seem to grasp is that bills exactly like this one create more poor very rapidly. They do not lift up the poor. In fact, many of the illegals are doing better in the U.S. right now because they are illegal. They are not required to do the same things and there are actually programs for some reason that are available to them but not to citizens.
You don't make people not poor by spending more on credit cards. You don't solve poor by printing more money, and spending money you do not have. All that does is lead to inflation and ultimately the creation of far more poor people than there were before the action was taken.
The problem is so many people have a leash attached to their brain that allows their emotions to drag them around to some truly stupid locations. They seem to have very little ability to think beyond a few simple steps, or a few brief moments. Perhaps this is why they repeatedly demand the minimum wage be increased. Emotionally they think "It is the right thing to help poor people". This is even more true if in their own perceptions they themselves are poor. "Do it for the poor people!"
They have been conditioned like attack dogs to come out and attack anyone that says "Wait a minute, think about this...". Those people are suddenly the bad guys. They don't care about poor people.
Yet the truth of actions like these is that for a very brief period of time which falls within the short term memory window of most of these fools it FEELS like it helped. The actual long term consequences usually start to manifest anytime between three to six months later based upon my own observations.
Inflation kicks in. People who were doing well before suddenly are now in the new poverty line as the value of what they could purchase with their money is lessened. We had 11 million poor when the fools were whining and demanding we follow the emotions. Six months later were have 22 million poor. This also includes the previous 11 million who for a month or two had the illusion they were no longer poor. Then the market, the cost of services, etc. it all adjusted.
We don't live in Star Trek...
We don't have any magic matter materializers...
You can't just go up to a screen and say "Computer, Tea, Earl Grey, Hot" and have it materialize cup and all out of thin air...
Food also does not magically appear on shelves...
McDonalds and other fast food restaurants that switch to robots don't magically have the crates of food required by the robots appear...
These things require people. They require work.
If the people delivering the goods were getting by they may cease to GET BY once the adjustments occur for stupid bills like this one. They now are struggling. They demand a raise so they can get by again. Their employer gives them one and then the employer has to adjust the prices to pay for these new wages.
This pattern repeats like falling dominoes throughout the entire supply chain. It automatically adjusts without the need of some super godlike omniscient genius central planning it.
Yet if you had $100,000 in your savings account, 401K, IRA, or other retirement account the rate it increases in value will quickly become slower than the purchase value of the dollar falls. In the end you were not saving anything. You were experiencing the illusion of saving and gaining because while the number does indeed increase, what you can afford to purchase with that number is decreasing faster. Your purchase power and savings are being robbed. Yet they scam you by making you think that $1 will always have the same purchasing power. It is yet another form of taxation, and they will keep taking more of the other types of taxes as well.
You see the government cannot give you free anything...
They call it free, universal, or some other loaded word. Emotionally this is appealing. Fools rush in because the education system has not educated them in long term planning, critical thinking, etc. In fact the education system seems to be going out of its way to steer people away from such things.
It was not free. If the government says free then you should train yourself to look for the burglar sneaking into your house through your window, or the person secretly opening up your safety deposit box and replace things you had saved there with fake versions. It is much like opening your bank account and instead of finding money you find a lot of little slips of paper that say "I.O.U. - the government" yet they will quickly pass laws to make sure they never have to pay those I.O.U.s back. They have to. They don't produce wealth. They spend it. How could they ever pay you back if they don't produce anything?
IOU from the government translates to...
I Own You...
Do you like being a slave?
I don't.
Do you think making sure you feel righteous, and not afraid is more important than actually doing the reasonable thing that will actually offer solutions and let people survive?
The so-called "Government" loves it when you think you are helping the poor people by demanding they do things. They love it when you think you are helping the planet by demanding they tax people more so they can do "climate programs" that strangely don't seem to do anything to the actual worst offenders in any climate issues. They love it when you think you are getting universal health care as they know they can tax more, or print more money.
I think they love it when you suggest they print more money. That is allowing them to reach right into the savings accounts of ANYONE who has invested in that currency and start stealing that away. Most people won't even see the value vanishing. This is why the "politicians" love it when this avenue is recommended. They don't have to listen to all the anti-taxation outrage. Yet the end result is the same...
If you are on a raft do you think you can continually drag more and more people onto it without it sinking?
If you think this. You would be wrong.
Likewise why are we focusing on illegal immigrants as "poor" people while we ignore actual citizens who are poor? What makes the person who sneaks into your house through your garage, or crawls through an open window better than the person that lives there, or was invited in when they knocked on the door?
