The lives of people meant nothing before terrorists, Nigeria experienced some level of peace, free of terrorists or bandit attacks in the last months, this was possible as the Nigerian army conquered, killed and destroyed some these terrorists hideout across Nigerian states.
The more the Nigerian army launched an attack on these terrorists, the more they carried out series of attacks. The unfortunate and unexpected attack on over twenty communities became so unbelievable as the terrorists invaded such a good number of villages, attacked, killed and burn many houses and properties down. Central Nigeria was a bit free of terrorists invasion in the past years, meanwhile, northern part of the country was more vulnerable to frequent terrorists attacks before the Nigerian army conquered them.
Sadly as some group of well-armed bandits invaded central Nigeria resulting in the killing of not less than one hundred and sixty (160) people in a series of attacks on over twenty villages. Meanwhile, the bandits has initially killed over sixteen persons in a region plague m that lasted for several years over religious and ethics tension the central region of Nigeria. The sudden invasion rises the initial six figure to one hundred and sixty in the recent attack.
As many as 113 persons have been confirmed killed as Saturday hostilities persisted to early hours of Monday. We found more than 300 wounded people who were transferred to hospitals in Bokkos, Jos and Barkin Ladi
This is sympathetic over the number of persons killed and wounded in a single attack resulting in living in dear of what and where they will attack next. the Nigerian Red Cross in their quest to rescue and recover the dead bodies, has reported not less than one hundred and four people killed in eighteen villages of Bokkos while still on search, with another fifty people killed several village of Barkn Ladi area. Is it that these bandits are more tactical and stronger than Nigerian army? The attack which started on Saturday lasted till Monday that's 3-days thorough invasion without intimidation as gunfire were still heard even on late Monday afternoon.
"We were scared because we weren't expecting an attack. People hid, but the assailants captured many of us, some were killed, others wounded.
This has become a long standing battle especially in the northwest and central part of Nigeria as they mostly terrorized by bandit militias who operates in forests and raiding villages to loot and kidnap residents for ransom. The Nigerian government on the other hand, had plagued to have a society free of insurgencies.
We will not succumb to the tactics of these merchants of death. We are united in our pursuit of justice and lasting peace. Proactive measures will be taken by the government to curb ongoing attacks against innocent civilians.
I'm praying for Nigeria to overcome this state of insurgencies, international communities can also be of help in eradicating these bandits and restoring a free and safe communities and states in Nigeria.
