Like a cat at dinner time I eagerly await the Corbett Report Annual Fake News Awards.
Now at last the Sixth Annual Fake Awards is here. This year with a new war to entertain us it’s no surprise that we have a new category of Fakest War Story.
Now, onto the awards
Available at Rumble/Odysee/Corbett Report home
Fakest War Story
The nominees are:
- The ghost of Kiev is alive
- Russian missiles hit Poland
- Russian soldiers given Viagra to rape Ukrainian women
- Russia has already won the war
...and the winner is Russian missiles hit Poland.
I personally would have put this as my top fake news story because of the implications. Do they want us to get into World War Three!!
As a bonus we have the truest war story of the year from NBC;
US is using intel to fight an info war with Russia, even when the intel isn’t rock solid.
Indeed so many lies have been told to the Western public this was a tough category.
Fakest Climate Change Story
The nominees are:
- CNN for parts of Great Barrier Reef record highest amount of coral in 36 years. (Which contradicts the narrative they’ve been pushing for a while).
- AP for climate grant illustrates growth in philanthropy which was laden with false information funded news
- Met Office for ‘How we make our 2050 “forecasts” and why we do them. Apparently where I live will be 40 degrees by 2050.
- BBC Panorama documentary ‘Wild Weather; Our World Under Threat’ which was laden with false information.
...and the winner is AP for the embarrassing admission that climate change news is funded by ‘philanthropists’ such as the Rockfeller, Gates and Walton Family Foundations.
(AP standing for Available Presstitues.)
Fakest Fact Check
The nominees are:
- CBC for Cricket plant finds itself at heart of a conspiracy
- Reuters for the world’s population fitting into a 50.8 x 50.8 square mile
- Newsweek for a picture of Ariana Grande kissing Osama Bin Laden
- Reuters for a picture of Antarctica which is now admitted to have been a computer generated image.
...and the winner is unsurprisingly (if you’ve watched New World Next Week) the story about the cricket plant in Canada which does produce crickets for both pet and human consumption.
I felt this category was a bit weak. I’m sure I’ve come across worse examples of “fact checks”. How about PolitiFacts assertion that cardiac arrests are not increasing among athletes. Really?
The People’s Choice Awards
A special award to be shared by all the main stream news organisations for their tireless reporting on what could possibly be behind all these sudden deaths from heart attacks. I’ll give you a hint, it’s nothing to do with the vaccine!
Why does cardiac arrests often happen in the bathroom?
- abc – extreme weather
- Harvard Health pub – Happy heart syndrome
- The Indian Express – correlation with going to the bathroom
- Standford Medicine – Marijuana
- CBS – Holidays
- The Sun – Soil
- Bloomberg – TV
- Revyuh – Heart attack benefits.
And finally drum roll please
The winner of the coveted Fake News Story of the Year goes to...
Justin Trudeau for his now infamous speech. I hope a dino award is on the way to him right now.
The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa are holding unacceptable views that they're expressing, do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, rights, and values as a country.
If you prefer the truth and haven’t yet checked out the Corbett Report this could be an excellent introduction. The show is packed with amusing content "from our sponsors" and much more in this 40 minute awards show.
Did they miss any you would have nominated? For myself I would have included the story that Russia was stopping Ukrainian food exports. A food and war story combined.
I do enjoy the Corbett Report and I've learned a lot from his documentaries and interviews. He also does a weekly show with James Evan Pilato at Media Monarchy called New World Next Week. They do, it has to be said, have a focus on the food industry and the WEF propagation of we shall all be eating the bugs by 2030 to save the world. Well, probably not them – just us.
