Putin's interview has already racked up more than 200 million unique views. And that's in less than 24 hours!
What is memorable:
- the interview was primarily intended for a Western audience. In it, he was able to concisely, succinctly and consistently explain Russia's position and the historical background to it
Putin's main message to the West in his interview - let's live in peace, let's negotiate, not fight!
Putin appears to Western audiences as a peacemaker, not a war instigator.
- Putin came across as an enlightened literalist, pragmatist and humanist who is very well versed in the issues that fall within the scope of his duties. He looks favorably against the background of most Western politicians
despite severe censorship and a culture of withdrawal, Russia and Putin have penetrated the Western information field and have become the main event on the media agenda. The door for another from the US State Department of opinion is open
The Biden administration tried to offset the effect of the interview with Biden's unscheduled address to the nation, but the contrast on Putin against the background of Biden's dementia only intensified, and interest in a breath of fresh information from behind the Iron Curtain was fueled
The mainstream Western media have already managed to brand Tucker as pro-Russian. They can't ignore the event, so they branded the conversation in advance as propagandistic and coordinated with the Kremlin
Hillary Clinton decided to do when she called Tucker Carlson a "useful idiot", "puppy" and "Putin`s fifth column."
- Friday night in the U.S. became Putin and Carlson night. I bet that independent podcasts and shows will largely discuss Russia's stance on the conflict in Ukraine, and a comparison of the countries' leaders will naturally follow.
Now it will be much harder to unrequitedly stigmatize Russia in anything, there are platforms (platform X) and independent journalists who are overtaking the mainstream media in popularity and providing an independent point of view giving an alternative view to a large part of the population.
A previously understood cause and effect relationship is also voiced:
1- The West deceived Russia by insidiously supporting the 2014 coup d'état in Ukraine - and Russia entered Crimea.
2- The West deceived Russia in 2014 with Minsk 1 - and Russia entered Donbass tightly.
3- The West deceived Russia with Minsk 2 - and Russia went in with SWO to the South.
4- The West deceived Russia with the Istanbul talks - and Russia defeated the AFU counter-offensive and is moving on to liberate Ukraine.
5- Do you still want to deceive Russia?
Russia has two allies - Ilon Musk and Tucker Carlson 😂
World headlines were colored by rage:
The New York Times:
Putin suggested that NATO should think about how to recognize Russia's new regions to make it look dignified.
CNN:
This was a major propaganda victory for Putin, who can and will now use this meeting to his advantage.
Daily Mail:
Putin made the sensational claim that a peace deal on Ukraine was once almost reached.
The Washington Post:
Ukrainians were deeply offended by Carlson's interview.
The Wall Street Journal:
The interview gave Putin a chance to raise his profile at home.
But in the print press, whose readers rarely use the Internet, they try to keep correctly silent about this event
Also in the interview the important topic of Ukrainian Nazism was touched upon, about it in the second part of my impressions.
I can if I want, but sometimes I'm lazy)
