Yes, that makes today... Star Trek Day!

The Starship Enterprise is one of the most iconic vessels in TV history. I remember watching Star Trek TOS (which, at the time, stood for The Only Series) as a child and being mesmerised. By today's standards the original series was campy with questionable production value and even more questionable acting, but it obviously resonated, and continues to resonate, today.
As a child I was always fascinated more by the Enterprise itself more than any of the characters. I remember watching The Search for Spock in the theatre during it's release and being beyond shocked when the Enterprise was destroyed. Who else destroyed their primary vehicle? Starsky and Hutch? No way. That big red tomato will survive a nuclear war. The Enterprise, however, went down gloriously, and seeing it (such as "it" was) again at the end of The Voyage Home was nearly enough to bring a person to tears.
I could go on, but there have literally been books and books and books published about Star Trek, the Enterprise, and all it's characters that nothing I could possibly say would be new other than to share how it impacted me. Instead, I'd like to celebrate Star Trek Day the best way that a dad can: with humour.
Why did the Star Trek crew go to the bank?
- To open a Captain's logbook account.
How many ears does Captain Kirk have?
- Three: a left ear, a right ear, and a final front ear.
Why did the Klingon cross the road?
- To conquer the other side.
Why don't the Borg go to prison?
- Because resistance is futile!
Why was the Starship Enterprise always getting into trouble?
- It was set to "stir."
What did Spock find in the toilet?
- The Captain's log.
Why did the Star Trek computer keep freezing?
- Captain Kirk kept hitting the space bar.
How do you organize a Star Trek party?
- You "planet."
Why was the Starship Enterprise so good at school?
- It had a good crew and a Data-driven approach.
Why did the Starship Enterprise get a ticket?
- It was parked in a no-warping zone.
