The past is history, and the future is a mystery. Both are crucial options everyone would love to explore.
Some people would love to travel back in time to discover certain things that they were not opportune to witness. In the process, there is the possibility to address certain mistakes that they have made in the past that have left an indelible mark on them.
In most cases, they would want to correct it either by avoiding them or doing the opposite of what they did to ensure that their records are clean. Others would like to travel into the future to see what lies ahead.
Both options, or should I call them “tickets” as the prompt puts it, are nice. Our past is our foundation; if we are able to go back and make everything right, there is a possibility that we would have a smooth present.
The future is what we are living for; everything we are doing today is a preparation for the future, having an opportunity to peep into it would be a big advantage.
However, if I am presented with those two tickets and asked to pick one, I would definitely like to pick the ticket for the future.
I know this has its consequences, and since the options are just two, I can't go back to the past. What will I go and do there?
The best it can do is give me a replay of what has already occurred, even though I can learn a lot from there, which may give me an advantage to prepare for what lies ahead. I prefer to see what's ahead instead.
Traveling into the future would mean that I would see what is yet to come. I will know what will become of me in the latter days.
The only problem I will have is if I am not allowed to travel back to the present. But if I am free to return after ascertaining the information, then it is a perfect one.
With the information I get from the future, I'll come back and first write as much as I remember down and allow it to be my roadmap in life.
If it's not what I am expecting, I'll make sure I work on it and correct anything that would result in aberration.
But if it won't be possible to return to the present, then there would be a problem because that would be like starting life afresh in a new place and era; it won't be easy.
In the end, traveling either to the past or the future is not something I think we should be concerned about. Having the present is never a mistake; if we work our present well, it will put everything in place.
