If I were to be in a position of power, powerful enough to change the nature of things over here, the first thing I would do is to restore electricity. Nevertheless, it is unfortunate that I am not, and I may never be. Even if I were, it might be too late by then, since many are already seeking a way out; it is already the case that many do not depend on the regular electricity provided by the state any longer. As a matter of fact, solar has now become the order of the day.
I guess the increase in electric tariffs caused people to realise a better option that was never considered all the while. Be that as it may, solar is now gradually taking over, so much so that other sources of electricity will eventually be forgotten with time. But it is not for no reason; solar actually comes with so many benefits.
From my own analysis, there are so many benefits that come with solar electricity, at least for those of us in this part of the world. Leveraging these benefits, many solar companies have emerged, which have no doubt made things easier for those who are interested. It has become so affordable that it can be installed for people while they pay instalmentally.
In all, solar has no doubt been more beneficial than the usual electricity provided by the state. It is more affordable, and the cost of maintenance is almost nothing. The most interesting thing is the fact that one can pay instalmentally; most people can now afford it since this has become the case. It is just a matter of time before it eventually becomes the major source of power over here; at least I think so.
Notwithstanding the fact that people here have somehow become used to not having electricity, nothing will be more interesting than enjoying an uninterrupted power supply. Good enough that is what solar provides, or at least something close to that. It's more like we're finally finding a solution to years of interrupted electricity all by ourselves, without the help of the government.
The most interesting part of it all is the fact that it is less expensive than even what we used to have; it seems to be less expensive than the usual electricity bills. The only problem is that the money has to be spent once. The whole installation process might cost a fortune depending on your system's level, but the money spent is no doubt recovered in less than one year of usage. To make things easier, there are companies ready to allow you to pay instrumentally after installation.
