You know that saying about if you can believe it, then you can achieve it. I believe that it was said so that we could picture or envision ourselves achieving it in our minds. The human mind is a really powerful tool, and we have seen some of its applications through hypnosis and illusion. In both cases, the human mind alters the perception of reality by allowing us to relive a virtual reality in our minds.
The human mind is a complex mystery that, even to this day, is still being studied. I have heard about monks trying to train their minds to have a better mental fortitude and discipline, as they believe that anyone who has mastery over their mind has mastery over their body.
Just yesterday, I was discussing with a friend, and he showed me a picture of how fear and faith both work using the same principle, but they have different outcomes. Fear is being afraid of the unknown, while Faith is believing in the unknown, but what decides their outcome is our mindset. We get to overcome our fears by first conquering them in our minds, then believing in ourselves.
The human mind would always continue to be a mystery. We ought to continue training our mind either through games or books, as an Idle mind is a devil's workshop.
This is my entry to week 58, episode 02 of the weekly featured contest for reading, and the topic to be discussed is The Mystery of the Human Mind.
