Life is full of ups and downs; sometimes life comes with ease, while sometimes it is otherwise.
Life itself is a mystery. You may be planning for A and B would happen.
I want to share a story about a close friend of mine, a young, hardworking, and determined lady at that, for whom all she aims to do is figure out how to navigate to success.
Life is not always fair to her because at the point she might feel things are going to be fine, a family call will come in, which she will have to attend to whether she wants to or not. She is the first child of her parents, so much is expected from her.
This is my friend works From 7am to 9pm, before she gets home, it will be 10pm or sometimes 11pm. From Monday to Saturday, she hardly attends church service on Sunday because she finds that day as a free day to rest and do necessary things at home.
Then seeing her alone makes me feel for her a lot even though I am not in her shoes, but I can feel how hard things are for her.
There was a particular time that she gathered money, put up all her savings together, and was about to start a small business of her own so she could finally be free from all the stress and all the late-night work, and I was so happy to hear then that she would be finally getting her own business, which would come with ease, but shockingly, she got a call from the house that her dad had an accident. That's how she went back to square one.
I really felt bad for her; she cried her eyes out. She was like, "Is she destined not to make it in life because the way life is treating her is not fair?" That was when I knew life is indeed not balanced because one minute you will feel you're on the road, and the next minute you are offside.
Being a lady that has determination, despite all the challenges and obstacles she faced, she still kept on moving, hoping for a better day and future, and indeed a better day did come and the reward of her hard work.
She got an opportunity to travel out of Nigeria through the person she was working for at that time, and she did give it a try and put in her effort, and it was a success.
Now she's happily married and lives the type of life she always wished and prayed for.
I learned a lot from this story, my friend, because at some point I was like, "Will she come out of this?" and I asked myself, "Why is life treating her this way?" but I see that through her ups and downs she never gives up, and she's prayerful.
No matter the situation we find ourselves in, we should always stand back, never let your problem put your back down, and always try and stand firm when it seems hard.
We should never lose focus and courage, and to crown it, be prayerful.
Tell yourself, "I can do it; I will pass through it.
