Seeing this topic on budgeting took my mind straight back to the discussion I had with a senior friend last week. Many salary earners are seriously enslaved because of this mind of I will pay by the end of the month. My senior friend told me that she remembers the time that before the month ends her salary has finished and even on minus.
Growing up my Mom told us a story of her some of her colleagues in school use to behave when those they bought something from comes to collect their Mom. Most time they will want to insist that she should buy somethings and she will refuse.
Making budget is for everyone and it helps one to leave with his boundaries. I learnt something from what my son was taught some weeks back, that is how to plan out and at the end have something's left to be saved. They were told that out of hundred percent of every money that is their they should make effort to reserve twenty percent from it and that should be saved.
In making budget one thing that I plan so well for is family feeding. When the people in the home is well fed there will not be unnecessary illness's because food itself is medication. I also budget for my children education which is very important. Any other thing that is not featured in this plan is a distraction.
As a growing home our priority is to have a roof over our head before the kids grows to a good extent because the way some landlords are going a time will come they may want to do a one thousand percent increase and that may come as a distraction.
Having budget and working by it helps one stay off unhealthy competition. The drive to have be like others or have the most expensive look at occasions will be far away because of the mind to walk with budget especially when one want to be religious with it. For someone who have leaved a life of off budget it may not be easy to start off over night but having an accountability partner can help one progress in this venture.
