Hello friends, Happy Saturday, and welcome to this week #scifimultiverse prompt #smp-w17. Vaccine is a prerequisite in every community and country at large because of the vital role it plays in saving millions of lives.
Vaccine stimulates the body immune system, fights off pathogens, and builds immunity in our body before exposure, most especially in the case of newly born babies. Although they are little, those vaccines are very important at that early stage because they strengthen their immunes and help them through their growth processes.
Vaccination also helps to protect individual and community from diseases by reducing their mortality or totally wiping them out. I remember when my sister had her child, she and the baby were fine, and I felt like we should be discharged already. The hospital insisted that we won't be discharged until after the first Vaccine was administered because the baby's immune system was strong enough to fight off germs and bacteria. At that time, we weren't even allowed to touch the baby for a prolonged period because of the spread of germs. That was when I knew the importance of vaccination and the vital roles it plays in saving lives and reducing the spread of diseases.
Another encounter was during the covid-19 pandemic. There was widespread misinformation about the vaccine, and a lot of people were scared because they thought they were being injected wrong substances that could affect their system. I got scared too, but when I got the right information, I realized the vaccine was for my good, and I went to the local government and got vaccinated.
There are different types of vaccines. Some are for specific contaminable diseases such as chickenpox and measles, polio, influenza, tetanus, and the viral vector vaccines for covid
Whatever type you are going for, note that the vaccine is for our good and government spend millions of naira to make it available for it's citizens, so lets appreciate it and make good use of the opportunity since it is most time given out free of charge.
