Between solar, generator, and normal power supply, which do I prefer and why?
Power supply is a very vital necessity in our everyday life. There's no day that we don't have a need for electricity, both for business needs and for personal needs. Its use cases are too many to mention in our world today. Technology kept advancing in this aspect of human lives, making it possible for alternative power supplies to be available for our consumption. From generators to listers and then to solar, all to support electricity supply, especially in countries without a stable, normal power supply.
Let's look into the three sources of power supply here and see which is my choice and why. For generators, it has been coming through for me since I have nothing close to constant electricity in this part of my world. I love that I can use it to do everything, especially the fact that I have a big one that can power up my AC, electric iron, and freezer. The downsides are the cost of fuel, which is now extremely high and so discomforting to spend always. The noise pollution is irritating and disrupting my peace of mind. The smoke it generates at times, especially when it's due for service, and the constant maintenance, which is also expensive and discomforting. Do you see that?
Then the normal power supply would have been very convenient, as it comes with more affordability and zero noise, yet I can use it for 1001 gadgets in my home or business places, if any. I usually admire these countries that enjoy a constant power supply, not like mine that is very unreliable. This would have been my number one pick, but obviously, I don't see my country having a stable power supply in the decades to come, so there's no need to want what I may not be opportune to have.
Solar, on the other hand, is very expensive, especially if I am to buy the capacity to carry all the gadgets in my home. However, with solar, I won't know noise; with solar, I wouldn't have the need for constant maintenance like generators, but just periodic maintenance and cleaning, and then I will enjoy a stable power supply like no man's business. I wouldn't have to bother about noise pollution or smoke but a neater environment instead. The only downside to this one is the high cost of purchasing it, but with adequate planning, it's achievable.
Overall, solar is my number one pick after reviewing both the positive and the negative sides of each source of power supply as stated above. I currently do not have solar in my home, but my dream is to have one in the nearest future, one with high capacity good enough to power all gadgets in my home.
Which is your choice, and why??
