At times, the world feels strange. No matter how much one try to understand how it works, they can never fully grasp the entirety of how things come to play in this world we live in. As beautiful as the world is, it's complexity is something that may not be fully understood.
Knowing little of everything seems like a way to easily navigate through the world, but then, sometimes, without adequate knowledge on a particular subject, people tend to make choices that could have some positive or negative impact to them. Experience they say is the best teacher, but this teacher can be brutal when passing knowledge.
In the world we live in, the average dream is how to stack materialistic things. The search for fortune and fame has blinded many people to the fact that quality relationships are very important. The man says: I can not seat and chitchat with people. It's a waste of time and energy. If they don't have any good job for me, then I'm using the door. One thing they forget to consider is the fact that small chit-chats is one step to build quality relationships that may be worth more than any financial plus at that given time.
I can't blame them though. Living in a world where the cost of living is threatening to take the life of the living, there is no option than to succumb and dance to the bitter music that life has to play.
Instead of loved ones seating together on the table, the average man has due bills seating on their table. One credit alert 50 debit alerts. Salary earned is good, but unpaid bills make it seem like the salary is nothing.
Why chase material things? Why chase the money, the fame, the name and the glory? Is it actually worth it? These questions are actually thought provoking. We all have diverse answers to these questions. I'm no mind reader but the average person has already said a big fat yes in approval that all these things are worth the struggle.
Just like the average person, I took believe that these things are worth the struggles. I chase material things, though not the fame, name and glory. My beliefs and dreams are way bigger than having some name, fame and glory. I hate fame, but I love money. Give me the fortune, keep the fame.
Again, yes, it is worth it to chase material things. If we don't chase money, how can we get things done for ourselves? The world revolves around money. What do you have, how much money you make per month/year, who do you know, what do wear, how many followers you've got on socials, what investments do you have. All these are societal questions to know what level of respect and position to give you in the society.
I chase material things (specifically money) because I would not want to bring a child into this world and see them suffer. It goes way beyond that thought but this is the little I can share.
Irrespective of the fact that one day, I would die and leave these things behind, I still chase them. I will be at peace knowing that I left a fortune for my wife, children, and other important people. Conversely, if I die without having a fortune, I would not go in peace because I would be worried about how my wife and children will survive without me.
