Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today’s topic is from Scifi-Multiverse which says: Friends Don’t Lie. So let’s dive in.
Honestly, we all have friends in our lives. It doesn’t matter the age difference. Friendship is part of life. Some people have many friends, while some people are okay with just one or two friends.
So about this week’s topic, to be honest, I don’t really believe it. I don’t believe that friends don’t lie at all. As humans, we are bound to lie whether we like it or not. It can be a small or big lie, but a lie is always a lie. It can be a positive or negative lie. But the truth is, lying is something humans do.
Some people may claim that they have never lied before in their lives, but I find that hard to believe. Nobody is perfect, so expecting my friends to never lie at all is not realistic. They are humans, just like me.
That being said, there is still something called true friendship. Among my friends, I have two people I really trust. If I share my secrets with them, I feel relieved because I know they won’t expose me. They are loyal to me and good friends, just as I am also loyal and a good friend to them. Trust doesn’t just happen in one day; it takes time. We proved ourselves through our actions.
But I have also experienced the other side of friendship. There was a time I shared a secret with one of my friends before I became close to these two. I trusted her and even warned her not to tell anyone. I really believed she would keep it to herself. But later, I found out she had already told some of my other friends. That moment really hurt me. I felt betrayed because she couldn’t keep something so simple between us. That experience taught me that not everyone you call a friend will keep your secrets the way you expect them to. And that was the time I truly understood that friends can also lie.
In conclusion, the truth is that friends can lie. There are times my friends has lied to me, maybe because they have their reasons or they don’t feel comfortable sharing something with me. Instead of telling me the truth, they choose to lie, and sometimes I understand that. But I believe that true friends will not lie to hurt you on purpose. Something I love about my friends is that if they make mistakes, instead of lying that they are not the ones, they will admit their mistakes and try to fix them, eventhough they also have there owns flaws, we are not perfect. Some people will lie to you just because they want to be your friends, and some just like my friends have a reason of why they are lying.
This is my entry for the Scifi Multiverse Prompt Week 54 Edition 1.
