In India we live in villages, which is the second model, that is why it is said that if we drink only mother's milk then after that we drink only cow's milk and only cow's milk is nutritious. We do not drink the milk of any other animal, that is why it is said that the village is our mother, and in Hinduism, Krishna has an excellent relationship with the village. He is his Govinda and Gopal, so we cannot kill them, otherwise we commit a big sin. That is why we call it Mother. We get everything from the village and many different sweets are also available from there.
If we see, today the milk that we are getting is available only from villages and it is very important for us because any sweet that is made from milk is for everyone. And the milk from which we make these things has only one source. That is buffalo. If buffalo is not there then we will not be able to make all this. And yes buffalo gives milk but its milk is very thick and sweets cannot be made from it. Only cow can be made from it. So we get all these things only from the cow and that is why we say that the work is the second mother in our place because in our village the cow is worshipped as if it is some god.
Here, killing or doing anything is considered very wrong and this is considered respectful because in our Hinduism it is very clearly written that never do anything to a cow because she is the sister of Lord Krishna and she belongs to Lord Krishna, so if you do it to any animal then it is a very bad thing and especially in our place it was done very respectfully and very well. We also worship the cow. We have a festival here whose name is Gopashtami.
We make a lot of things from cow's milk like we make ghee from it. Many people make sweets from it. Many people make curd from it, so how do we get all these nutritious things and why is cow's milk so popular? It is a very good milk. And there are many Vedas and many Puranas that cow urine is a very good Ayurvedic medicine, due to which many healing farming of food is against it. All these things are the urine of the village and its dung which we make into cow dung which we can burn and then cook food. Then when puja is done, all those things of the cow are very useful. You see, all this is not used so much by any other animal. The cow urine and the dung of the village, all of that is used. We use it in our work.
God has given us the best thing that today we have cows in so many cities. But if you go to every village today, you will see that a cow lives outside every house because it is also written in our Vedic Purana that if a cow lives outside the house, it gets the power of the house.
And if you keep cows, Villagers keeps cows, then it will be a very good source of income for everyone. Today, in Kolkata, the price of a liter of milk is ₹62, so imagine that a cow gives you 15 to 20 liters, you can think about all these things and keep cows because raising a cow is equal to raising a child, a cow is a very lovely animal and it is as good as a God.
