I am speaking from Bangladesh so today I will show some development works in my area which have been closed for the last few days due to rain. A drain has been made on this small road next to our house for water movement. A cover has been put on the drain but due to rain the work has not been completed.This is very sad and disappointing. Every day, hundreds of people walk on this road, but people have to suffer because the road work is not completely completed. Due to the rain, water accumulates on the road, due to which people cannot walk and mud accumulates. Also, people cannot walk normally because the drains are not covered.So I saw in the video of my area that a drain line in a Suruj street has been covered with a lid and covered with blue paper so that it is initially durable. Due to rain, these polythenes have become wet and are likely to move. Since the lower drain is open, any kind of accident can happen to children. The damp environment on the sides and walls is very dangerous for pedestrians. Also, it has become difficult to walk due to water accumulation on the drain and slipper. Also, the accumulated water in the open drain can cause problems like typhoid, dengue or chikungunya. Besides, this water emits a foul smell which is harmful to the environment.
Due to the continuous and heavy rains, our working environment has become completely unsuitable. In the current situation, it has become extremely challenging to provide safety to the workers and the locals and maintain the construction quality. Therefore, this road excavation work has been temporarily stopped. Due to the stoppage of work, many people have suffered and delayed. However, due to the natural disaster, there is no other option but to take this decision. Hopefully, once the situation normalizes, we will get the road back in order.To solve this problem, the drain cover must be replaced quickly.
