Right from the earliest days of humanity, we've faced countless diseases, from mild to devastating ones, such as measles, COVID, eboka and polio, that suddenly break out in communities and leave the people in fear and uncertainty of what to do, which further cement the existence of sickness in every part of the human story. Then came science , the discovery and introduction of vaccines, which are basically meant to trigger the human immune system to defend itself against these diseases. The truth is that at first it sounds like a wonderful solution; in fact, it was for some diseases, but is that the case for all?
But, if I'm being honest with you all, it's worth noting that I'm not completely sold on the idea of vaccines. Yes, I agree with the fact that there are a few that have been helpful to humanity and proven over time that they're effective, especially those administered during childhood. However, with time and as I grow older and become more aware, this has made me develop some curiosity and concern regarding what we put into our bodies and why. My skepticism deepened with the emergence of the COVID-19 vaccine and the aftermath for the majority of those who took it.
Let's just say things didn't sit right with me from the beginning, especially regarding how fast the vaccines were developed, pressure from the government and institutions, not forgetting how we've got a whole lot of waves of censorship on any opposing views made by the hesitant, and most of all the statements by Bill Gates that circulated around that time regarding the need to drastically reduce the population of humans on earth. Although it might be fake or AI-generated speech, I decided I won't be taking the vaccine, and that's based on my personal decision after my observation, research, and the endless stories I heard regarding those who suffered adverse side effects after getting vaccinated.
The superstition surrounding that speech by Bill Gates and the death toll that followed those who took the vaccine made it seem true that in truth the system is working towards reducing the population of the world, especially when it's done while placing everyone under lockdown so we can't see what's really going on.Ironically, aside from those who died after taking the vaccine, we still see people who still contracted the virus despite taking the vaccine, which further raises the question of if the solution in place was worse than the disease itself. I mean the vaccine was meant to protect, but instead it's causing a lot of chaos and, sadly, more loss of life.
It's not like I'm entirely trying to discredit the effectiveness of some vaccines, in fact I've seen people who who strongly believes in it and are living fine, I've seen a friend take an hepatitis vaccine before getting married to her positive spouse and till date she didn't contact the virus, so it did work, but for COVID, I don't believe it, I respect those people who believe in vaccines opinion, afterall we all have the right to decided what we feel is best for our health.
Overall, my health is much responsibility, and while I acknowledge that some vaccines plays vital role in public health, yet I remain cautious regarding new rushed vaccines like the one for COVID 19, and that's why I choose to my health with both wisdom and awareness.
