There’s this quiet habit I’ve developed, something small, yet oddly emotional. I open the Temu fashion app, scroll through its glossy pages, and start clicking on clothes I absolutely adore. The sleek heels. The elegant jumpsuits. The effortlessly chic handbags. Every piece whispers to a part of me that craves beauty, expression, and a little softness in the chaos of life.
Without fail, I add them to my cart. No checkout, no payment, just a growing collection of digital dreams. And each time I do, I silently tell myself, When the money comes, I’ll get them. But that money? It rarely shows up when I need it to. So I keep staring at those items, wishing. Hoping. Dreaming.
But this isn’t really about fashion. It’s about a phase in life that I know many people go through, the one where you’re trying so hard, yet nothing seems to be working. That season where it feels like life is pressing pause on your progress, and everything is just...stuck.
You keep showing up. You keep pushing. But deep inside, you’re tired. Tired of waiting. Tired of hoping. Tired of feeling like you're putting in so much effort and still not moving forward. And to make it worse, the world doesn’t slow down for you. Everyone seems to be thriving while you’re just trying to survive.
But here’s what I’ve come to believe: tough times don’t last. They're part of the process. They are the stretch before the bloom, the silence before the song. They build something within us that money can’t buy: resilience, empathy, and a deeper understanding of who we are when things aren’t easy.
I know my time will come. I believe that one day, I’ll be able to afford the things I want and not just clothes, but peace, security, and freedom. And when that day arrives, I won’t just smile because I finally bought the things in my cart. I’ll smile because I held on. I stayed. I kept going, even when giving up seemed easier.
Until then, I’ll keep dreaming. I’ll keep doing my thing. I’ll keep showing up for myself, even on the hard days. And as I grow, I won’t forget others who are in this same space. Because I’ve been there (I am there). And I know how deeply it matters to be seen, to be reminded that you’re not alone.
To everyone out there with a cart full of dreams and a heart full of hope: your moment will come. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will. And when it does, it will be worth every tear, every wait, and every “not yet” that led you there.
Just keep going🤗✌️
