Reduce Posting Rewards
Another proposed reduction is to posting rewards. A random number I came up with (that would significantly make Hive more appealing) is decreasing posting rewards by 10% and moving that 10% to Hive Power inflation. In other words, while posts would earn 10% less, the Hive Power people have staked (powered up) or earned over time would have an increased inflation rate. In short, Hive Power would have a higher APR. That should incentivize users to buy, power up, actively participate in governance and participate in curation to earn more Hive Power with compounding returns.

I think that's a bad idea - the content creators already have suffered enough, posting rewards have always been lowered
and even curation rewards have been increased (also to incentivize to get HP to get the curation rewards - what was with that?)
shouldnt new content creators be incentivized? (who run the show?)
shouldnt it be easier to earn Hive ? by posting ? to become a new user ?

also putting that 10% from posting rewards to HP inflation only gives those who already have big stakes some more free money..

I hope government of this platform does not end in circle with stake trying use their stake to get more stake.. (which is understandable but not helping this platform grow and decentralize)

Please do note that these are simply my ideas and I am awaiting your comment, feedback and suggestions as to other potential ways to solve this solution.

why solve a solution ^^ ? :P

maybe we should still try to use the lever of sparking interest..
especially with bitcoin traders who try to swing trade on bigger timescales..
who need something stable like HBD to wait for the falling prices to stabilize and invest again
HBD opening the possibility to trade BTC/USD without KYC, bank, ...

which would probably need better BTC/HBD pair.. some focus on on- & offramps, bridges

we do not need solely investment in HP (ofc Hive holders liked to see that..) but big money inflow into HBD is also very helpful to the whole platform
and if HBD as trading tool is being used that will also attract automatically spark some interest about the whole platform behind it

HBD as entry drug for hodler-swing-traders
(maybe also daytraders when we have some modern BTC/HBD exchange interface with good liquidity)
