There is no end to the diversity of nature. Every season presents us with new forms and colors. Similarly, in this six-season Bangladesh, the flower that appears before our eyes heralds the arrival of the rainy season. That is the Kadam. Today I am sharing with you a macro or close-up photo of the Kadam flower, that ever-familiar symbol of the monsoon season. Just looking at the picture, my mind is instantly captivated. Although the Kadam flower looks simple, its structure is very complex and interesting. What we see as a single flower. It is actually a beautiful cluster of numerous small flowers. The inner part is bright yellow-orange in color and the white petal-like stamens protruding from it give it a perfect spherical shape. From a distance, it looks as if someone has painted tiny white needles on the yellow ball. This perfect geometric design of nature truly fascinates us.
The kadam flower has a soft, sweet fragrance that fills the surrounding air with a magical softness, especially after rain. Countless poems and songs have been written about the kadam flower in Bengali literature. From poet Rabindranath Tagore to national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the beauty of the flower has been revealed in the writings of everyone with utmost compassion. The melodious call of the clouds and the sound of the pouring rain are accompanied by the beauty of the flower. In the hustle and bustle of the city, the kadam tree is no longer as visible as before. The opportunity to see this flower through the concrete jungle is now very limited. So whenever such a fresh, vibrant flower appears in the camera frame, my mind wants to go back to those rainy days of childhood.
