Nature has so many wonders around us, but we often don't pay much attention to them. Especially when we are busy working in our gardens, we forget about the small creatures under our feet. This morning, while I was taking care of the plants in my rooftop garden, I suddenly caught sight of a very small ant.
While I was cleaning the soil in the tub and watering the plants, I saw this little creature moving very quickly. Its size was so small that it was almost impossible to understand its physical structure with the naked eye. However, its agility and strange reddish color made me quite curious.
I immediately brought my macro lens. I always believe that macro photography introduces us to a world that usually remains invisible to us. It was not easy to photograph such a small creature, because it did not stand still for a moment. After several attempts, I finally managed to get these wonderful shots.
I was amazed after looking through the lens! The fine craftsmanship and shiny coating on the body of this tiny ant is truly amazing. You can see how clearly its fine hairs and its powerful antennae have become in the picture.
Having such small insects in our rooftop garden is actually a part of the ecosystem. Although not all insects are beneficial, watching these tiny creatures in action is a kind of peace. My rooftop garden is not just a place for plants, but it has become a small sanctuary for many small creatures.
Photography has taught me patience and helped me find the beauty in every small thing. This experience today reminded me once again that nothing needs to be big to be beautiful.
