Yesterday, I came across a strange but wonderful sight while visiting the local market. In one corner of the market, a vendor was sitting with a basket full of fresh crabs. The crabs were quite big and lively. Out of curiosity, I was a little surprised when I asked the price, because the vendor was charging quite a high price.
Personally, I have not eaten much crab. I have only had the opportunity to taste it once in my entire life. But to be honest, that unique taste is still stuck in my mouth. Those who are fans of seafood know how different and delicious the taste of crab meat can be from any other common fish.
One thing that kept running through my mind after seeing this scene was the potential of our country’s blue economy. Crab is no longer just a gourmet food, it is a very important export sector for Bangladesh. Currently, a large quantity of rock crabs are being exported from Bangladesh to countries like China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.
Many people are now becoming self-reliant by cultivating crabs and marketing them commercially. It has huge potential, especially in coastal areas. Crab farming is now a modern concept as a profitable business with little capital and in a short time. With proper training and government support, it is possible to earn a lot of foreign exchange from this sector.
The scene seen in the market is not just the livelihood of a seller, but also a potential industry in our country. Crab farming can be an excellent option for those who want to become entrepreneurs.
This was my arrangement for today. I hope you liked the pictures I took and the nature observations. Wishing everyone good health, I bid you farewell here today.
