Un tema que ha venido generando mucho malestar es el llamado discurso de lo políticamente correcto, que es un conjunto de normas y vocabulario que se consideran socialmente aceptables y respetuosos hacia diferentes grupos de personas, especialmente aquellos que supuestamente han sido históricamente marginados o discriminados.
Este tipo de discurso, más allá de la propaganda y la demagogia social, ha sido objeto de críticas por parte de quienes consideramos que limita la libertad de expresión y promueve la censura, al imponer restricciones sobre qué se puede decir y cómo se puede decir.
Gracias a este tipo de discursos tenemos el avance de la cultura de la cancelación, y la autocensura, que influyen para que no haya debate abierto y honesto sobre temas controvertidos, sumado al hecho que ha llevado a una sensibilidad exagerada, donde cualquier comentario o broma es considerado ofensivo, al punto de hacer un "bullying grupal" en redes sociales.
Sumado a ello, este tipo de discurso es utilizado como una herramienta para silenciar a aquellos que tienen opiniones diferentes o críticas hacia ciertos grupos o hacia nosotros mismos, porque al etiquetar cualquier comentario como políticamente incorrecto, se deslegitima automáticamente y se evita el debate real sobre los problemas subyacentes, desviando la atención de los problemas reales.
En definitiva, el discurso de lo políticamente correcto inhibe el debate honesto y abierto al desalentar la confrontación de ideas contrarias, en virtud que obliga que se eviten ciertos temas o palabras por temor a causar ofensa, creando una polarización y la formación de “cámaras de eco”, donde las personas solo interactúan con aquellos que comparten sus opiniones, lo que dificulta el desarrollo de un entendimiento mutuo y la búsqueda de compromisos.

An issue that has been generating much unease is the so-called political correctness discourse, which is a set of norms and vocabulary that are considered socially acceptable and respectful towards different groups of people, especially those who have supposedly been historically marginalized or discriminated against.
This type of discourse, beyond propaganda and social demagoguery, has been criticized by those of us who consider that it limits freedom of expression and promotes censorship by imposing restrictions on what can be said and how it can be said.
Thanks to this type of speeches we have the advance of the cancellation culture, and self-censorship, which influence so that there is no open and honest debate on controversial issues, added to the fact that it has led to an exaggerated sensitivity, where any comment or joke is considered offensive, to the point of making a "group bullying" in social networks.
Added to this, this type of discourse is used as a tool to silence those who have different or critical opinions towards certain groups or ourselves, because by labeling any comment as politically incorrect, it automatically delegitimizes and avoids the real debate on the underlying problems, diverting attention from the real issues.
In short, the discourse of political correctness inhibits honest and open debate by discouraging the confrontation of opposing ideas, as it forces people to avoid certain topics or words for fear of causing offense, creating polarization and the formation of "echo chambers", where people only interact with those who share their opinions, which hinders the development of mutual understanding and the search for compromise.
