Las noticias diarias nos muestras una creciente lucha a nivel global, no solo armamentista o económica, sino entre la ciencia y las ideologías, que nos deja a todos en el centro de los mayores peligros.
Cuando me refiero a la ciencia, lo hago al proceso de descubrimiento que se basa en una triple dimensión: observación, experimentación y la formulación de teorías y entiendo a la ideología como un conjunto de creencias y valores que influyen en la forma en que percibimos el mundo.
Los peligros de la dominación de las ideologías sobre las ciencias, pasan porque las decisiones que se toman son basadas en creencia personales y no en correspondencia con de la evidencia. Esto ocasiona que las decisiones no sean las mejores para el bien de todos, sino que se beneficia un grupo particular.
A eso debemos agregarle que los hechos se ignoran de manera más permanente. Esto conlleva a actuar en función de lo que se siente, se cree y se quiere y quienes no apoyen estas opiniones o expresen ideas contrarias a la ideología dominante, son reprimidos, ocasionando una sociedad más autoritaria y menos tolerante.
Un último peligro al que podemos referirnos, es el desacuerdo social, porque al no existir un diálogo entre la ciencia y las ideologías se dificulta la toma de decisiones, se posterga la acción y se profundizan en los problemas.
Hablo de los peligros que estamos viendo, que se observan en las noticias y cuya alerta es necesaria para poder equilibrar y mejorar la convivencia, por eso te invito a ser escéptico, a cuestionar todo, incluso las cosas que creemos que sabemos.
La ciencia y la ideología son fenómenos que pueden coexistir, la primera ilumina la ignorancia de la segunda que a su vez permite que de ella se tome el sentido y valores necesarios para la humanización de nuestras realidades.
The dangers of ideology being more dominant than science
The daily news shows us a growing global struggle, not only in terms of arms or economics, but between science and ideologies, which leaves us all at the center of the greatest dangers.
When I refer to science, I mean the process of discovery that is based on a triple dimension: observation, experimentation and the formulation of theories, and I understand ideology as a set of beliefs and values that influence the way we perceive the world.
The dangers of the domination of ideologies over the sciences are that the decisions made are based on personal beliefs and not on correspondence with evidence. This results in decisions that are not the best for the good of all, but rather benefit a particular group.
To this we must add that facts are ignored on a more permanent basis. This leads to acting according to what one feels, believes and wants, and those who do not support these opinions or express ideas contrary to the dominant ideology are repressed, resulting in a more authoritarian and less tolerant society.
A final danger we can refer to is social disagreement, because in the absence of a dialogue between science and ideologies, decision-making becomes more difficult, action is postponed and problems deepen.
I am talking about the dangers that we are seeing, that are observed in the news and whose alert is necessary to be able to balance and improve coexistence, that is why I invite you to be skeptical, to question everything, even the things we think we know.
Science and ideology are phenomena that can coexist, the first illuminates the ignorance of the second, which in turn allows us to take from it the sense and values necessary for the humanization of our realities.
