Hello CELF friends, hello Hivers. I take this opportunity to thank this contest initiative with a mobile that is so necessary and beautiful. Let us therefore seek to reach the hearts of people through the eyes that are their window, and let the message travel in a photograph.
Si me dan a elegir entre la guerra y la paz, yo siempre escogeré la paz. Durante la escalada de conflictos que han tenido lugar últimamente, sobre todo en el más actual y difícil que es el de Rusia-Ucrania, uno apenas puede pensar en otra cosa que no sea en el dolor que está hiriendo el mundo. Entras a las redes sociales convencionales y todo es violencia. Entras a Hive y te encuentras con los posts que día a día escriben quienes están envueltos en ese conflicto y no sabes qué hacer para intentar ayudar.
If I am given a choice between war and peace, I will always choose peace. During the escalation of conflicts that have taken place lately, especially in the most current and difficult one that is Russia-Ukraine, one can hardly think of anything other than the pain that is hurting the world. You enter conventional social networks and everything is violence. You enter Hive and you find the posts that those who are involved in that conflict and you don't know what to do to try to help.
Así, entre oraciones y escritos de esperanza nos debatimos y continuamos nuestra propia lucha, nuestra guerra por sobrevivir y salir adelante.
Thus, between prayers and writings of hope we debate and continue our own struggle, our war to survive and get ahead.
Por eso al ver este concurso de CELF, no pensé más que en la paz. Y para su llamado traigo esta fotografía que realicé en la ciudad de Camagüey, Cuba, una mañana de 2021 cuando iba a visitar a un amigo. No creo que exista mejor símbolo para representar la paz que las flores y aprovecho que el Girasol, la flor nacional de Ucrania está tan presente a ella, para lanzar mi mensaje de paz.
That's why when I saw this CELF contest, I thought of nothing but peace. And for your call I bring this photograph that I took in the city of Camagüey, Cuba, one morning in 2021 when I was going to visit a friend. I do not think there is a better symbol to represent peace than flowers and I take advantage of the fact that the Sunflower, the national flower of Ukraine, is so present in it, to launch my message of peace.
No deberían lanzarse
más que flores
contra los muros.
Y que cada agujero de bala
solo sirva de tiesto
para plantar.
Shouldn't be thrown
more than flowers
against the walls.
